Description
A painting I did a while back for a story of mine I'm writing.

The character shown is Baset (a combination of the Egyptian Goddesses, Bast and Sekhmet) in her feline form. Since both Bast and Sekhmet have strong connections to the sun god Ra, I decided using fire would be as good a theme as any.

That said, I have no idea why I painted her in such a Japanese style, since if I ever get around to actually drawing the story of this lady it'll be in my usual manga style... (No clue why a mini version of Mt Fuji is in the corner either)
