Tempest in the DarkVerse! Tempest Shadow, choosing to keep her new name slowly became more and more infatuated with Princess Twilight. Following her around, spending lots of time at the castle, ect. So one day Twilight gave Tempest the option to be the head of Twilight's personal royal guard, which she happily agreed to do. Now Tempest trains at least a ground of 10 guards, not including young bloods from ponyville wishing to join. She loves her princess and the daughter she was gift with more than her life. Tempest and Twilight are not married, some even doubt there to be a relationship, but there is an unspoken partnership between the two that nether of them dare to break.

This has caused Fate to have an extreme distaste for her alicorn mother. Going to the training grounds every day with Tempest and watching her mother train royal guards for the princess of friendship, urged Fate to join the Lunar Guard, much to Twilight's dismay.

Between princess duties and the school, she doesn't have much time for her family, much less her friends. While most everyone is understanding, her daughter, who is supposed to the be heir of friendship seems to resent her quite a bit. Which only causes Twilight to hide herself in her work even more.

Cadence in the DarkVerse! Queen Cadence not long after Flurry's 3rd birthday, finds a starving, half dead Chrysalis. Not having the heart to leave her to die, she bring Chrysalis back in the crystal empire, where she slowly brings her back to health. After spending so much time keeping Chrysalis alive, Cadence notices a certain tug in her heart, and one day, she comes down to the room Chrysalis has been locked into, and she has completely transformed into a reformed changeling. That's when all the secret feelings are let loose, it takes a while to convince Shinning Armor, and even longer before the couple introduces Flurry Heart. But eventually the couple of 3 settle into a long, happy, relationship.

Flurry Heart in the DarkVerse! Princess Flurry Heart, the crown jewel of the crystal empire and older sister to Princess Nepidae. Flurry is very well loved by her three parents, and the rest of the empire. But she has a very strong rivalry with her sister, they can often be seen shoving each other, or getting into full blown arguments. Flurry secretly resents Nep, because she's not held up to such a high standard, and that she stole the affection of Mother Chrysalis.

Shinning Armor in the DarkVerse! Shinning has two beautiful wives, a beautiful daughter, and a very mischievous daughter. Shinning was once very much against having Chrysalis and later Nepidae near his family. But after a while he couldn't imagine his life without his second wife or his adopted daughter. He cares the least out of everyone of what the empire thinks of his family. He loves his girls, why shouldn't everyone else?

Nepidae is a water nymph/siren hybrid! Dubbed evil by the world around, she had an extremely hard time finding a family. This title of evil is exactly what drove Chrysalis to adopt her! Being part siren, Nepidae does have an extreme craving for meat, and tends to be quite a bit more violent when playing. While everyone finds it horrifying and disturbing, Chrysi thinks her girl is the sweetest, most lovely thing in the world. It took a long time for Cadence and Shinning to get used to her, and longer for Flurry to be allowed near her. But after a while, she just became part of the family. Nep has an extreme rivalry with Flurry, calling her "Miss Perfect". While Flurry takes the rivalry seriously, Nep sees it more as a game.

Queen Chrysalis in the DarkVerse! After falling in love with Cadence, Chrysalis allowed herself to turn to her reformed form. After that, she spends many moons earning the trust of Shinning, and later learning to care for a small pony. They aren't like changelings one bit, and it's frustrating for someone who's raised hundreds of grubs. Later on in life, she comes across some desperate orphan runners looking for help from the royal family. This is where she meets sweet little Nepidae, which at the time, was a nameless, teething foal. And the rest is history~
