Description Sam nearly skidded to Hades, he stopped so fast. Hades looked him up and down, chuckling as he saw him. "Yes child, I am Hades. Your Grandfather" His voice was so cold, and as Sam looked into his 'grandpa's' eyes, nothing. Hades pulled his fedora off and his trench coat. He was a medium building, with short hair and pale skin. He pulled out a seat, slowly sitting in it. He gave a snarky smile, pointing to a seat across from him. "Come, sit child..." Sam gave his grandfather a look like Are you serious?
He cautiously took a seat, looking around the Big House for anyone else. "You're probably wondering what I'm doing here."  Sam nodded softly, grumbling, "That and why I should care…" Hades chuckled softly, nodding. "You sure got a mouth…No; I'm here because I need you to help me…" Sam's eyebrows were raised. "A god needs help from a grandchild? Wow" Hade started to get a stern face. "Child, I don't care if your my grandchild…I'll beat you if I need too."
Sam choked on air a bit when he heard that, nodding softly. "Yes sir…" Hades tapped on the table awkwardly. "Anyway, we've been having a problem that even the gods can't solve. Some demigods like you….don't like who they are. They hate their history and the cautions they have to make." Sam tilted his head. "What?"
"Well, when you're a demigod, your presence is kinda…like a billboard to your enemies. They can smell you; you can't use technology, a lot of things that demigods are not supposed to do. You can't live a normal life when you're a demigod, and they can't get over it." He explained, taking in a breath. "We're thinking that they want revenge on everyone, god, demigod, or mortal." Sam was stunned, hearing what was coming from his grandpa's mouth.
"So….you're telling me…you want me to hunt these guys down, and kill them." Sam replied slowly. "Yeah I can do that. I have no training, but yeah, I can kill them." Hades laughed, it was kinda warm, but still cold. "No no, you'll have weeks of training before you go out. I've decided on another camper to train you for the journey."
"Oh? Well who is it?" He replied. As he looked around, he saw Abigail walk into the Big House, smirking softly. "Hey buddy, heard you need some training…" Sam smirked back, nodding. He got up, taking one look at Hades before walking over to him, patting him on the back. "Sorry gramps…just a lot of knowledge…" Hades sighed, nodding softly.
Outside of the Big House, Abigail was waiting for Sam. "I never asked Abigail, who's your parent?" He asked. She smiled softly. "Mine's Apollo, this'll be great since I need some practice with the sword too..." She gave a girly giggle, making Sam smile, but right when he smiled he felt a blunt force go against his stomach, knocking the wind out of him. He hit the ground hard, wheezing.
"W-What the hell?!" He yelled, looking up. Abigail gave a small smirk, getting him back up. "That's for hurting me during the CTF game we had..." Sam grumble softly, walking to his house. "Training starts tomorrow!"
The next morning, Abigail woke Sam up at 5:00am to go running around the camp for about a half hour. At the end of the running, Sam fell on the ground, wheezing hard. Abigail wasn't wheezing as hard, but still. "Come on Sam, we gotta get you in shape." She got him back up as soon as he stopped having an asthma attack, dragging him to the training arena they have for the campers. Inside the arena already, as African American boy practicing with a Kopis on a straw body.
"Hey Charlie. Looking good with Kopis." Abigail said to Charlie. The African American looked behind himself, smiling at Abigail.
"Hey thanks Abby, and hey to you…Sam is it? I heard a lot about you." Charlie, stopping his training to walk over to Sam. Sam waved at Charlie, looking at the Kopis. "Sup man, nice sword you got there. What's it called again?" Charlie held it out to Sam, accepting the invitation by gripping it, almost dropping it. "It's called a Kopis. The wide top of it makes it kinda of heavy. Are you here to train?" Sam nodded, still wheezing softly. "Hopefully Abigail will let me rest before I pass out myself."
Charlie laughed softly, going back into the middle of the, holding his kopis, pointing the tip to Sam. "Come on Sam, let's train a little bit. Abigail, you go take a rest, I'll handle him." Abigail smiled a bit, nodding as she left the room, waving to both Charlie and Sam. Charlie then pointed to a small rack of weapons on the side, holding a Gladius, Kopis, and Xiphos. Sam picked up the Xiphos awkwardly, even the weight of this putting him off balance. "Can you handle any weapon?" Charlie, holding back a laugh.
"My mom was Asian, and since my dad or Hades to show me the Greek weapons, she signed me up for Kendo, Taekwondo. The works." Charlie nodded as he listened. "Well maybe you'll get used to our weapons, or you'll get a katana." They both got out a laugh, Sam holding the Xiphos a bit better. For about an hour, Charlie taught Sam how to fight correctly. For about a week, this training went on. After the week, Sam looked incredibly different. When he came into the camp, he was skinny, not many muscles. Now, he looked like a bodybuilder. The morning after the whole week, Sam had a nightmare. He was in a dark room, seven shadows in front of him. "I say we kill him when he leaves!" A loud, jittery voice yelled out, twitchy exhaling through his mouth afterwards. "I say we torture him slowly, maybe we could break him…" a soft, feminine voice said those words. "No….We will continue our plans,. We've watched him….he won't be a problem..." That voice cold and heartless. The loud voice yelled out, "Hey Amy! Sure you can beat him if you get the chance?! He's your sibling after all!"
There were soft mumbles from the far right. "S-Shut up Clark…" Sam suddenly woke up in a cold sweat. It was about 7 in the morning. He put some clothes on, the same clothes he's been wearing for the whole time he's been here. When he left his cabin, he saw Hades outside of the Big House. Sam slowly walked towards him, waving softly. "Sup gramps?" Hades cringed at the name, but got over it. "Hello Sam. Looks like the last week was good to you." Sam nodded, flexing his muscles. Hades rolled his eyes, patting him on the back. "Anyways, today you're going to leave the camp in search for the traitors, so you're going to need companions, a weapon, and armor. Fortunately, I have two." As he said that, he pulled a Xiphos from behind himself. Its blade was jet black with a small crown sketched on the tip. "The armor is in the cabin..."
Sam rushed back into his cabin, eyes wide when he sees pieces of armor lying on the bed. The colors were gold and black. There was one greek pauldron, the armor part black with gold fringes. Then there was one vambrace and one gauntlet. The arm pieces both had black and gold designs on them, but the gauntlet had clawed finger tips, colored gold. The last parts of the armor were the greaves, diamond shaped. In a couple of minutes, Sam had it all on, a scabbard for his sword was to put his Xiphos in. When he got out, everyone was there to see what he looked like. He looked like a badass, a force to be reckoned with. Hades was in front of the whole crowd, clapping softly. "You very dangerous in the armor, beautiful."
Sam walked up to him, looking at himself. "This doesn't look very…Greek…" Hades chuckled softly. "Child, you may live, train, sleep here. But truthfully, you're my special warrior. Someone I can count on." For once, Sam smiled at Hades, nodding. "Yeah….I get it..."
"Great, now for your quest, you must have two companions." Hades explained. Sam nodded at that too, thinking for a moment. Abigail walked up to him, having a bow and a quiver full of arrows.
"You really think that I would let you go without me?" She asked, chuckling. Sam rolled his eyes, still thinking of the last companion. The light bulb above his head turned on, him looking around the crowd until he found who he was looking for, Charlie. "Charlie!" He yelled. Charlie got through the crowd, having his Kopis by his side. "Yeah Sam?" He sighed softly, listening to Sam give his proposal to him. "…..Yeah, I'll go." He said softly, grinning.
