This map is an introduction to my new timeline called "Age of the Three Empires" or "AoTE" in short.

Lore is still in process of being made, but the main premise is that the Frankish Empire managed to unite with the Byzantine Empire. Thanks to this the Carolingian renaissance lasted longer and led to faster technological advances. Zoroastrianism maintained a strong grip in Iran, and Turkic tribes never managed to conquer Persia. In this timeline, crusades were much more successful than in OTL, mostly thanks to Christian world being much stronger (restored Roman Empire etc.) Islam is divided into two parts and is mostly based in Arabia and North Africa (without Tunisia and Libya). Egypt and Arabia is Sunni, but Andalusia managed to reform and introduced Andalusi Islam as a state religion, which is much closer to Christianty than to Sunni Islam. Andalusia eventually discovered Eden (that's how Europeans call America in this TL) in 1290s and began a new era in Europe. China also had some profit since it stole some of Byzantine inventions and started colonizing new world as well. So the timeline is mostly about rivalry of the three empires: Byzantine, Chinese and Andalusian.
