Sketch of the day (April 5th 2013) [link] - this began as a portrait of the falcolf Sculd, (AGAIN FAIL) but the sketch was much too derpy to be a falcolf, particularly good ol’ dowager Sculd so me and =Wrennars agreed that it must become a pooch dog instead. This happened; I was going for doberman but the face looks more miniature pinscher. I’m not an advocate of cropped ears on dogs (there is absolutely NO point in them in modern society other than fashion… which isn’t a reason at all) but this doggy wanted that look. Then I went crazy and had way too much fun with the lighting and this was the result! My first time drawing/painting a black and tan dog. Tons of fun! My first time utilizing hard lines in lighting.

I was thinking sketches like this might work as something I could offer as commissions maybe but I may have to think some more about that.
