So first I drew dis-> [link] as my new concept for how starfers look, but I didn't like it and then didn't like it either methinks, so I was like, "Hmmmmmm, how can I preserve the sexiness of Kazik's original starfery goodness without ruining him and draw him better?" Then some little thought pushed me: "Yaks! Yaks are shaggy! So are mountain ponies!" I was leery about making starfers shaggeh like da yaks and musk oxen, but then I thought "Meh, that last design was so ugly, what do I have to lose?" an' den I came up with this randomly in da last five minutes and now yay.

I kind of like the dark markings I put on his legs. They're a freak accident like the black masks that starfers have - those came from the shading I put on a starfer in a painting a long time ago (a REAL painting) and these leg markings came from one of his fores having too much sketchiness on it around the cannon and I looked and thought "Heeeey I never did like his legs when they were bland and white!" and now he looks like a proper sexeh alien critter thing.

Eating grass. Yep, starfers eat grass. They can't eat quarter horsy all the time. XD
