ah two of my favorite characters. Erel and Kadan (left to right).They say no matter how good you are at something, there's somebody out there who's better than you at it. For the fighters in this story, Erel is that guy. And Kadan? He's just some Asceric soldier (see that? i came up with a name for the country)
Also, i usually laugh at fantasy characters who us weapons that allow the use of a shield, but don't have one. People don't seem to realize just how important that slab of metal/wood really is in keeping sharp stuff out of your body.

Agreed, though I'm also a helmet curmudgeon. I get it, covering a character's face is alienating or confusing to broad audiences, but come on it was like, the second thing we ever did with metal. The partner in crime here is using offensive one-handers in both hands. Just, try eating your next meal with two forks. Unless one of those is a defensive weapon, lose it! Sorry, I contributed two rants.

i know. I just thought it would be cool if you kinda discover these guys exist through reading the story, as opposed to being given a general introduction to them. Of course, that idea is kinda ruined now that i've posted these character sheets, but they're really for me, and not you guys hahahaha. At least i never revealed Erel's face

well, Erel doesn't start out as a knight with a full set of armor. He works his way up there.

hahaha. He's a battle monster, and gradually climbs the social ladder, but he's no leader, nor is he especially good at anything else. So he's more like a very powerful tool that the opposing leadership uses for a bunch of different things... like killin people, and killin people.... actually, that's all they use him for.
I can guarantee you will not recognize him the first time he appears.

Hashmal is more like a Disc One Boss. Except she's helping the party. The downside is her friends have to deal with other adventurers who want to kill her.

that's cool. I guess if Erel was in a game, you could say he's like a re-occurring mini-boss or extremely tough enemy who for some reason is stronger than the real bosses.

yes. he's the guy who shows up when your literally 5 steps from the hospital, half your party is dead, the other half poisoned, and he just turns the corner and comes right at you.
