A piece from my series "Adventures in Gelpen".
Used my own violin as a reference.

Some information about the series:
A project of mine in which the works are all quick doodles and sketches. All in the series is made entirely with gelpens. To fade out the colours, I used a wet tissue. I did not start with pencil sketches - this is why you can still see the 'mistake lines'.

The idea behind the series was to 'go with the flow' a bit more. I noticed I got quite stuck in my own perfectionism, paralysed by the fear of doing anything wrong. By using a gelpen, which is permanent, I wanted to teach myself to accept my mistakes, learn from them, and use my creativity to turn them into something else, instead of just erasing them. It has worked quite well, and I've made more small doodles than I ever did before.
It also helped me to break out of my comfort zone. I highly recommend trying the technique :3
