Description
This painting sat for quite a few months in my sketchbook without being altered. I sort of abandoned him. I ended up finishing him one day without any hesitation. I always tend to understand my art after it’s completely finished, otherwise there’s no initial thought process. I look at this portrait and realize that it wasn’t complete because I didn’t fully know who I was at the time - and therefore could not complete it. Once I found peace within myself and was fully aware of who I wanted to be - the paint just made its way on the paper, and it was complete. Painting has always been an introspective spiritual experience for me. I hope you enjoy this.
