A wonderful pink rose
This rose is from the rose garden at the Biltmore house. I wish I could of taken more rose pictures, but my parents were moving on and I was all alone in the garden. Of course they yelled for me to come and move on. I wish I could stayed longer.
First contest entry. I had maybe four pink roses to choose from. (that is really all I have as pink) But this one stood out the most.
The lighting is natural, from the sun.
I diddn't want to make it smaller. (I think it is allowed, but it is beutiful at full scale) But the background is just fuzzy. But focasing in on the rose is much better in my opinion.
And I belive the contest ends on my birthday.

its a gd shot, but i think you should add a border to your piece to make it look that tad more professional.

Very nice, there's only a couple things I might change
First, defiantely resize it. I understand that it's just cool when it's really big, but when we have to scroll to see the whole thing, it definately detracts from the image as a whole. We can't see it all at once, and so we can't get a real feeling for the image itself.
Second, though I think you did a good job with the focus with the angle you choose, I think it would be nice to see the shot from a little higher angle so as to get some of the center of the rose in focus. But that may just be personal
I like the color, and you still have detail in the highlights, so you're doing very well there. Good job, and keep it up
