After I saw this [link] on the front page today, I was inspired to create the above picture/text/thingy. Also inspired by [link] and the recent suicides due to bullying.On the LGBT flag, purple symbolizes spirit, something that everybody needs. It's something that we can draw from our own souls, or something that can be given by others. 'Spirit' is speaking out. 'Spirit' is standing up for those who can't. 'Spirit' is fighting for what is right.
For all who see this (and read my random talking), I hope to give each and every one of you an understanding that we are all people. Just because some of that group of people likes the same sex, or likes both sexes, that doesn't mean you should discriminate and bully them until the world looks bleak and dark. I may not have done a very good job at delivering that message, but I tried. And that's what really matters, right?

This is so well-put! I agree that this should be a shirt, because unfortunately not many people actually knew about Spirit Day, and something like this would definitely pique their interest.

Thank you! And you would have thought that more people would have known about Spirit Day, seeing as there were two groups (TWO) on Facebook advertising it.
(I'm sure you "ally" sign served its purpose. For the day. Next year, color it purple! And more purple! Lots and lots of purple! XD)

I don't know anyone personally who's commited suicide from being bullied for their sexual preferences, but all the same it's a quite a damn shame how hateful people are. : /

It really is a shame, isn't it? You'd think that people would learn to be less judgemental, seeing as humans have lived on Earth for such a long time now.
