Abilities & Spells:

vicious mockery cantrip :: verbal
you unleash a string of insults laced with subtle enchantments at a creature you can see within 60 ft. if the target can hear you (thought it need not understand you), it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or take 1 psychic damage and have disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.

prayer of healing :: verbal :: 10 minutes casting time
up to three creatures of your choice that you can see within 30 ft range each regain hit points equal to 2d8+WIS. this spell has no effect on undead or constructs.

diagnosis :: somatic
pings the user for physical injuries that are causing pain, such as broken bones, sprains, cuts, bruises, etc. does not ping for mental injuries (depression, anxiety, mind control, phantom pains, etc). activated with skin to skin contact.

find familiar :: verbal :: somatic :: material (10 gp worth of charcoal, incense, and herbs that must be consumed by fire in a bronze brazier)
you gain the service of a familiar, a spirit that takes an animal form you choose. appearing in an unoccupied space within range, the familiar has the statistics of the chosen form, though it is a celestial, fey, or fiend instead of a beast.

your familiar acts independently of you, but it always obeys your commands. in combat, it rolls its own initiative and acts on its own turn. a familiar can't attack, but it can take other actions as normal. when the familiar drops to 0 hit points, it disappears, leaving behind no physical form. it reappears after you cast this spell again.

while your familiar is within [the distance that is half of ephica] of you, you can communicate with it telepathically. additionally, as an action, you can see through your familiar's eyes and hear what it hears until the estart of your next turn, gaining the benefits of any special senses that the familiar has. during this time, you are deaf and blind with regard to your own senses.

as an action, you can temporarily dismiss your familiar. it disappears into a pocket dimension where it awaits your summons. alternatively, you can dismiss it forever. as an action while it is temporarily dismissed, you can cause it to reappear in any unoccupied space within 30 feet of you.

you can't have more than one familiar at a time.

when you cast a spel with a range of touch, your familiar can deliver the spell as if it had cast the spell. your familiar must be within range of you, and it must use its reaction to deliver the spell when you cast it. if the spell requires an attack roll, you use your attack modifier for the roll.

you can see and hear a particular creature you choose that is on the same plane of existence as you. the target must make a Wisdom saving throw, which is modified by how well you know the target and the sort of physical connection you have to it. if a target knows you're casting this spell, it can fail the saving throw voluntarily if it wants to be observed.

on a successful save, the target isn't affected, and you can't use this spell against it again for 24 hours.
on a failed save, the spell creates an invisible sensor within 10 feet of the target. you can see and hear through the sensor as if you were there. the sensor moves with the target, remaining within 10 feet of it for the duration. a creature that can see invisible objects sees the sensor as a luminous orb about the size of your fist.
instead of targeting a creature, you can choose a location you have seen before as the target of this spell. when you do, the sensor appears at that location and doesn't move.

You see the mountains, far away in the distance, ever-looming mounds of earth that decorate the horizon, that mark the separation between land and sky.

Far away in the distance, you can see the mountains crumbling.

You are unsure of what event is causing the landscape to fade away to darkness, but somehow, ever so slowly, the land you stood on, lived on, was dying, chunks of earth breaking away as the edges of the universe close in on you. How much longer do you have left, you wonder, before everything is gone?

Standing among a field of forget-me-nots, you take a deep breathe and continue walking.


History:


The world was consumed by darkness.

She doesn't remember much about that place, those memories lost to her awakening in Eluvia. But the knowledge that there was nothing to return to, if she ever left this world -- that memory, she kept close to her heart.

Dae's had a long time to acclimate to this new world she's woken up in. Initially taking odd jobs around Eluvia, she eventually settled into the clinic, learning the trade and the medicine and, potentially, the magic that could help someone heal from injury. She had barely any medical knowledge under her belt when she arrived, and so soaked up as much information as she could, eventually starting her own research when the other doctors available had nothing more to impart on her. She's rather creative in her approach sometimes, but she seems to be having fun with her job, keeping all of these Dreamers alive.


Miscellaneous:
