So this is myR2D2 so far. I didnt cut my farbric big enough, so I won't be able to put the Merry Christmas. I'm kind of pissed about that bcause I spent a lot of time working on that part, making in the Star wars font.I was going to edge the Merry Christmas in gold metalic thread but because I cant add that, the grey of R2 is going to be metalic silver. On that not, the metalic thread is a bitch to work with. I will never work with it again.

Looking good so far. Too bad you won't have room for the merry christmas, I can understand that it's frustrating. I guess you could cut out R2 when you're finished with him and apply him to a larger piece of fabric and add the text to that. But it problably won't end up looking as good....

I don't mind working to the metallic floss. Trick is to use shorter pieces. It will take time!! You will use it again...LOL!!

i know i said i would never use it again but... i'm going to make my nephews these little wizards for christmas and they have the gold in their robs, so yea. and something else i might make is a goddess who has silver in her black hair. so this won't be my last time working with the metallic lol
