Description If everything was good
I wouldn’t be seeing signs
For 81 South out of state
Behind the ageless pines
Memories of your fading eyes
Lonely mile after mile
I carve your smile out of air
While driving single file

If stars could talk
I’d ask them how you are without me
They’d bring me back to where you were
From this lonely state of loneliness

Bedding down in Jersey
It’s not where I want to be
My pillow’s lost its comfort
‘Cause you’re not here to comfort me
I must have done something wrong
To lose you from my arms
Back home away from you
To eight a.m. alarms

I’ll turn the world right around
And kiss you one last time

If stars could talk
I’d ask them how you are without me
They’d bring me back to where you were
From this lonely state of loneliness

I really love this poem. Your words are very beautifully written, and I could really understand the feeling.
