Dear DA. I am making an FF7 doujin. If you have any information whatsoever on how to go about getting it printed in a half-professional manner, I'd love to talk to you. (Comment here if you want, or note me, whatever).Specifically, the doujin will be very story-intense, non-sexual, manga-style, screentones are a maybe. (Chances are, it will be in a similar style to the one you see here--dark and sketchy). It will almost definitely be over 50 pages, and possibly over 100.
I realize this task might be a pain in the neck in the US, because of copyright issues. Therefore this is also a call to anyone who is bilingual and speaks fairly fluent Japanese, or even Chinese or Korean, etc., as there are doujin printers in those countries (well, not too sure about the last 2). Not to mention, I'd like to have a japanese text version too. If you speak more than one language, chances are I'd like to talk to you.

Didn't see anyone mention it, but there's always "Lulu.com". They're built for independent publishing, and they're print to order too. Definately worth checking out.

dude, when you did your last ff7 pic (the b+w one, not the colour one), i did a picture in the style that you were using. i didnt upload it, it was just a study. but i kid you not, its nigh on identical to this. crazy

Can't wait for it. I know I'm not really any good, but I speak a bit of Japanese >.> small, easy phrases I can help out with. Also, I've played FFVII 29 times (no joke) so any story questions or stuf like that I can try to help.

i've always loved your style, i think you were one of the first few people i watched ^_^ as for printing, i've always printed at kinkos. *shrugs* but who knows, you may be able to find a small publishing company that might take interest in your stuff, ^_^ good luck with it all, i hope to see it some time ^_^

Hey Hun, sounds cool. I'll ask around for you. And if you need any back up artist you know I'm in. Tones are one of my strengths not just drawing and adapting to diffent styles^_^.

Arent there already thousands of Final Fantasy 7 doijins floating around?? Dont get me wrong. i love FF7 to deaths, and i love seeing FF7 art, but i would do a story on something else.
Then again, i am just a lazy stoner.

A group of artists and I had a doujinshi printed at Dreamweaverpress.com
I think it came out to about $7 a book, and we printed about 50 (I believe...)
Anyway, they didn't have a problem with a doujin because they're /printing/, not /publishing/.

Whoa, that's a cool idea. Might be good as just something to put your name on and not copyright, good for publishers to see. Lemme know where the rest of this stuff is, i'm up for seeing it.
