A Canterlot Celestia converted into Pluto, the accidental filly alicorn from the Magic Kindergarten scene in Lesson Zero. Oh yes. I went there.

Turning that background filly into a fully-realized adult pony required a lot of thought. I wanted her cutie mark to feel in line with those of Luna and Celestia, who both have very simple two-colour marks displaying stylized images of their respective thingies. The dwarf planet Pluto was discovered far too recently to have any mythological imagery, so I had to imagine how it would be seen if we'd always known about it. I figured its four moons might have looked like stars dancing around it, so that's what I went with.

Next, the eyes. We've only seen Pluto as a filly so I wanted her to be regal like the Sisters but also very warm and playful, like in the show. I also added a lot of silver to her colour scheme. I resculpted her hair to ressemble the scraggly do the filly has, and added silvery highlights. My camera's not being too friendly - the hair IS painted the same shade of purple as her mane in the show, but it shifts to blue when I photograph it. The chest ornament represents the planet Pluto and thankfully not a Golden Snitch, which I'd been afraid of. It goes right around both sides and under the hair, which I had to reshape to accomodate it. Both it and the hair alterations are done in Sculpey.

One thing I'd really hoped to do was include a nod of some sort to the character of the same name in Lauren Faust's Galaxy Girls. Unfortunately, they're completely different. The slightly heavy eyeliner is the best I could do
