This is vrakali 's absolutely stunning mare, Respira. Her story inspired this image, the lighting, and setting heavily.. so I wanted to share with everyone here <3

"She's a golden palomino with a cream colored mane and tail and a star on her forehead. She stands 16 hands tall and her build is most like a Quarter Horse. Her eyes are black, but they color change to silver if she's feeling particularly emotional - usually anger. She was badly injured in a fire and will carry the burn scars from it for the rest of her life. This happened just recently on my RPG and it has destroyed both her home and her future with the group she leads called the Helkaer Brotherhood.

She joined the Helkaer many, many years ago and rose through the ranks high enough to become their Commander. Under her lead, the Helkaer attacked several herds and kingdoms and caused quite a bit of chaos and strife. They all possess the gift of fire and burned down herds that would not bow down to their "survival of the fittest" mentality. Her name is feared and respected and her reputation preceeds her. However, with the fire that swept through, her life is now going in a different direction. For many years she harbored feelings for a mare that she was convinced she could not be with - and now with the fire, she might finally have the opportunity to relax, take a step back, and do something else with her life.

Respira bleeds confidence from every pore and she is the embodiment of pride. She's a workaholic and barely rests or has time for anything else. Her devotion to the Brotherhood has destroyed relationships both with her former mate and with her children. She is bold, vicious, and intelligent. She is driven by her own determination and will to succeed and she will do whatever is necessary to accomplish her goals. Her pride and overconfidence causes her to be arrogant and she is nearly incapable of asking for help. She loves testing the boundaries of others and only keeps a close circle of friends, as her trust is hard to earn." - vrakali
