I should really have been an explorer at the turn of the last century.....
weird worlds and all that...with no mobiles or sat navs or other such
shit that strip the world of its mysteries.

Yeah. That would be cool. Of course the working classes aren't really allowed to be explorers. Males have to be called Ranulph and other unappealing names. Anyway, when you think of a start date......permit me to be your husky.

There were a few Victorian explorers (Mungo Park(great name) and David Livingstone )who were not
from the chinless wonders gene pool..so there is hope.
I don't intend to go anywhere its cold..get enough of that at home.
You can be my bearer though.

Thank you. And I didn't know Livingstone was "one of us". "Mungo Park"is indeed a great name (never heard of him before), shortly to be appended to a deviation.

Tall Ivory Index Finger Protrudes From Greenland Soil. And yes, it's late spring, obviously. But will the Danish explorers ever make it home?

If you like to read, read this: [link] . It's one of the most amusing and in many ways educative books I've ever read.

its like the tooth of Moby Dick, AND Moby Dick as well. And a kind of Balls Pyramid type island jutting out of the sea.
If it existed it should be named Whales Tooth Island and famous for a slew of shipwrecks and treacherous waters. [link]
"And the brave boys sailed be the sting of the winds,
like a cutlass of ice flaying skin from their hands
shredding sailcloth to tatters she lured them in
in the leeward on a promise of shelter of sands
did the heart of the whale take vengeance on the man"
