First acrylic painting I've done in seven years. Looks like I'll be taking it back up again.
This was meant to be a colored pencil full body drawing of Gerard, but I kept screwing up his face so that I was so frustrated that I wanted to rip my paper to shreds. D; I almost did. Lucky for me there was a tub of primer (house paint) next to my desk and I whipped out my brush and painted over that CRAPPY penciling. I grabbed my watercolor and my sisters acrylics and just went at it.
Took me about four hours. The whole thing was an attempted to salvage my paper. I'm glad it turned out as well as it did. Acrylic and watecolor paints (and crappy color pencil underneath that) on watercolor paper

Acrylics are paints. They dry faster than oils and are more solid that watercolor. ;3

I would offer critique... But I don't even use paints for the most part, so I'm not sure what to touch on.

I wish I could've spent longer on him but the paint kept drying! D; So I hurried.
I think I might have to watch some youtube tutorials on how to use these paints. That or practice a LOT.

I totally understand. When I try to work with water colors, I feel like I can't keep up with the drying. D:
Practice is always good, but watching the way others do it is also good, at least to get a feel for what to begin with.

lol It's usually just my sister or mom. No one else is really that interested in my art. I think they feel awkward asking.
I love watercolors. They're different than acrylics because they are easier to rewet.
