Birthday gift for one of my best friends. She loves griffins!

It's a snow leopard/snow owl griffin. I've nicknamed him Brilliance (waiting to hear what his owner names him) and I think it is probably a young male because of the sparse markings, since male snow owls are white and he seems to be approaching that. From beak to tail tip he's about 9 inches long and from toe to forehead he's about 4 inches tall.

Needle felted wool over pipe cleaner. The wings are real feathers glued onto wool-covered pipe cleaner so you can kind of pose them. I trimmed the pipe cleaners making up his feet so that there's an impression of talons. The wings were a pain because I couldn't find the kind of feathers I thought he should have so I had to use the extra soft fluffy kind and trim them into points. The beak is painted paper clay. The eyes are plastic doll eyes. His markings are mostly done with wool, but the ears, tip of his tail, and his paw pads (not pictured) are done with markers.
