I'm actually a bit amazed with the quality of 50mm F/1.4s at F/1.4 on APS-C cameras. On FF cameras, the sharpness drops terribly on the edges and you get a lot of CA on the corners... something quite annoying when you don't want it. I could, of course, tell my cam to shoot on APS-C mode but then the 50mm becomes 75mm and you have to back up a lot more
