Ember's story takes place in the 2020s, starting in Fritch, Texas.

Found all alone by the side of the road as an infant and adopted by an elderly couple, Ember's very birth is a total mystery.
All that is known about her is that she's EXTREMELY strong and was raised on good morals.

She had developed a somewhat bad habit of sneaking rides on trains and just letting them take her wherever, born from a love of wandering.

She met many drifters who would become her friends, and one, Billy Garcia, was unfortunately pinned for the gruesome murder of over a dozen people.

Knowing he couldn't have done it, Ember stormed to the Fritch County Courthouse, and refused to let officers take Billy away after his sentencing. She relied on her strength, and couldn't be forced by police to leave, eventually resulting in an increasingly intense standoff with authorities. A standoff that would be caught and aired on international television, revealing the existence of supernatural powers to the world.

On her own, she's extremely strong, able to reinforce her own body with a bizarre energy resembling flaking gold.
This power manifests during her feats of super strength. But even more impressive is that she's able to imbue this power into objects and even people. She can flick a coin with enough force to put a massive hole through an engine block, and thanks to her reinforcement power, the coin will easily survive the entire journey.
And she can communicate this power to other people, making them super strong.
In fact, the more people she empowers, the stronger she becomes.

Ember is the very first Race X.
