Hers was a power of cataclysm. An all-consuming flame, able to destroy entire solar systems. It was a power that was impossible to control, one that tapped into the madness of her despair to fuel the fire.She needed a new way. A way to guide the power, a way to put it to good use. A way to turn her despair into something practical, beneficial, something that wouldn't spell the end of the world.
And someone suggested a way.
Magic.
By channeling her power through seven magical talismans, Penance was able to achieve the impossible and filter her Quantum flames through the talismans into pure undiluted and heavily concentrated magic. The very essence of the universe, and she was able to create it with such ease, as though on a whim. Her flames of destruction were now able to create magical power on a scale never seen before.
Through her own scorched eyes... She saw something in her green magical ember she hadn't seen in decades.
