I love the use of white in the background to bring out the leaf. The shallow depth of field really adds a lot more to this image. Your colour, or desaturated colour really brings an interesting mood into play. I love this photograph for some reason. Its not really something I'd usually look at, but there's something about this one that makes it pop. Well done!

We're using Film and all of the other [not as cool kids] are using digitial. i personally am starting to love simply black and white's. 8D;

hey...film is cooler! cus you gotta know what you are doing...takes way more deterimation and patience...and then to develop and print it yourself is even better. Film really makes you appreciate dslrs...also makes you high haha

but i've been trying to print this picture for three days. and monday my teacher wants me to have some sort of success.

lol it doesn't make me high...my friend told me it makes her high...actually to think of it it does...it gives you a headache and make you feel all weird - this is the chemicals I mean

Ahhh. One print it's too dark and then it's too light.
But then there's no contrast. So then I add a 5+ filter and that doesn't help. My teacher said it was just acting weird and that she's going to try to print it for me.

hmmm...I used to hate darkroom work...well hopefully you'll be better at next time around...oh wait do you do like a test strip of the timing when you develop the film? you can do like a half inch...with increments of 2 seconds or so...you cover the paper and add another 2 seconds till you're done...and then look at the the one that printed the best...you should know how long to expose it for...and usually before I think I used fstop8 for the enlarger- boy where did I remember that from
yeah...you need to take some time away from there or it makes your head groggy

not clicks...at the top where the light is emitted...theres an aperture like thingy like on a camera...thats set to ...you'll have to look underneath to see it - if its there - you may have a more upgraded enlarger than the ones I used here at college
