This one would be much better if blending was softer. Another thing, her hand should remain, not to be restrained in snake's body.

I would have placed the woman on the layer above the snake then layer-masked the parts of her I didn't want out. Then applied a gaussian blur to the layer mask till it was just right.

i like it but the only thing that turns me off (not in a perverted way) is the arm being inside the skin of the snake part. in my humble opinion you should have left it outside and lain across her belly

As its your first attempt in Photoshop I think you've done a really good job.
The girl and snake work well together. I agree with under-water though, the hand needs to be seen with the snake skin underneath around her torso.
Use a Layer Mask to remove the skin and reveal the arm/hand.
