How did you attach the strings to the base? ;-; I can't figure out the best way to do it--

Was it easy to cut the shape?

That part wasn't very hard, I just used a jig saw and it turned out well. It was harder to draw the harp shape onto the wood, making sure to get the dimensions perfect.

They're really not too hard to use. :] Just try not to snap the blade when you take the corners. Your dad can prolly show you how.

How do you pronounce 'Lyre' also, WHERE CAN I GET ONE OF THEM!?

Pronounced like "liar". :] It's different from a harp, in that a harp is bigger and sits on the ground. A lyre is held in one's hand.
I'm afraid I don't sell these, so if you want one, you'll have to buy from someone else or follow my tutorial to make one. Sorry!

Did you use the mache around the elastics or did you leave that area clear?

Yup, I did put some of the clay around the elastics, so that there weren't any "harsh" edges where there was only wood. I've been asked by a few people if I would make a commish of this and I'm afraid that the answer is currently no. Sorry! :[
