Okay, uh... First, I apologize for the massive art dump today. Secondly, I apologize for the esoteric fanart. Aaaand, it's totally fanart for something that isn't even on yet. The miniseries "Tin Man" coming to SciFi chanel Dec. 2nd at 9pm [/shameless plug] deserves some fanarts, I think, and I'm just crazy/stupid/obsessed enough to do it!These two are two of the main characters: DG (re-imagined Dorothy Gale, played by Zooey Deschanel) and Wyatt Cain (re-imagined Tin Man, played by Neal McDonough). After watching numerous trailers, making-of specials, promo pictures and facebook stalking (less of the last) I've decided that I'm pairing these two up. NEW OTP YEY!!
I am sooo weird. I'm pairing up characters from a series I've yet to see. Anyway... I think I'm in love with Cain, just so ya know. And I encourage everyone to take a look on SciFi tonight when it premieres. I have high hopes.
Tell me what you think, if I'm mental, or if you share some of my oddities. I just love hearing from you guys

So I see I'm not the only one that thought this pairing was eye-smartingly obvious. Muahahazorz, Tranquil is not alone.
I totally agree they had chemistry. There was chemistry between DG and Glitch too, I suppose, but then again, Glitch wasn't the one that got all spazzy when it looked like DG was getting herself in hot water (repeatedly, ^^). I do wish the series had been just a bit longer. There was a lot of room for elaboration there.
And I'm afraid I, too, was screaming at them to just KISS AND GET IT OVER WITH ALREADY, DURNIT. Wargh. They frustrate meeee.
(That being said, I'm handcuffing myself to Zero.
DG can monopolize on all the other men that she wants.

hehehe, you can have Zero. He beat up Cain, so I'm still kinda miffed at him (although he kinda reminds me of Daniel Craig...) CainDG is my current obsession, as you can see from my gallery. They refuse to leave my brain alone, so I must be a simple slave to their wills.
I'm a pretty open shipper when it comes to Tin Man because you're right, GlitchDG does have a good foothold. I think, as you said, that Cain and DG are more what they were aiming for. And I've been shipping them since before the series, and it was nothing but frustration every time a hug didn't turn into a kiss. Ohhh well.
Oh, and the Ghosty Sokka is yours to enjoy--an easter egg if you will XD I appreciate all the good stuff you have to say, it means a lot. ^^ Thanks much, and I hope you stick around--I have a couple more Tin Man comics to pound out after I've finished rewatching tonight. Thanks again!!

Yeeeah, people say that about CainDG... But then they go and ship GlitchDG, which makes just about as much sense age-wise as my ship does.

in my very rough caculations, Cain would be 40-something, Raw early 30s, and Glitch would have to be... mid-late 30s? (because he didn't look too different when Az took his brain) so, yeah not really a lot of difference, your right.
Cain was married though, so i dont really think he'd be up for romance so soon.

I'd guess Ambrose to be about as old if not a little older than Cain, just because in the picture with him and the Queen, he looked exactly the same age, and that was 15 years ago. Soooo... I dunno.

glitch's age is hard to peg... what colour was the Queen's hair in that painting? i forget...
speaking of that painting- i found an interesting theory about that on livejournal- hang on, here it is:
"I think Glitch might be Lavender Eyes' younger brother.
My reasons for thinking this:
1, the Portrait in the Ice Castle. Just about it - it's odd that there's a painting of just the Queen and her adviser. Usually, it would be two different painting, one for each, unless it was a family portrait, then it makes sense.
2, Glitch's fighting skills. Noble families (at least the Males) are usually taught to fight in case of 'incidents'.
3, Azzy didn't kill him. Through out the series, she's shown a reluctance to kill family members (except DG but her death was needed). It would have just been easier to kill Glitch after taking his brain but, instead, he was left to wander.
So, my theory: Yes, No, Maybe?"

I had pretty much the same reaction to Cain, even though I've seen the actor in other things. He must not have been as good lookin' in Timeline... And when you're in need of courage, just think about Raw!!

Not only was I yelling at the screen, I was yelling at the characters THROUGH the screen. How's that for intellect? Not only are they through a magical viewing box, but they're fictional. :B

I was so disappointed there wasn't any romance for DG. Maybe that's anti-feminist, but f*ck it! I want smooching! It was a good storyline. Action, adventure, mystery, but no romance! Except for the Mom and Dad.
I don't care if she's younger than him, it was a perfect metaphorical set up for the Tin-Man losing his heart and getting it filled again. The storyline looked like, to me, as if the writers ran out of time and left that part of Cain's background hanging.
Glitch got his brain back(intelligence), Rawl got his son(courage), and so did Cain, but his heart/romantic heart, his wife died, but AHA there's DG that comes in. Arrrrgh! Friggin' writers!
....I just realized I did a literary analysis on a Scifi mini series, and rambled beyond hope. Sorry

No, no, rambling is good! I agree with everything you said! You know, I bet that when the DVD comes out it'll have some deleted scenes. Who knows, we might get some more sexual tension for our buck? Sorry for coming into the rant section here but wouldn't it be better if Glitch didn't get his brain back? I mean, he seemed so much happier without it. Also, FL is right about the non-anti-feminist thingy. Feminism has nothing to do woth romance and that's another reason it ROCKS!
