i want so bad to christen my return to this public arts forum with something of meaning.i settled for this.
not as if anyone cares.
if you're going to say "this is nice" or "cool pic" i'd rather you not say anything.

also, if you really want constructive critisism on improving your drawing skills i would be more than willing to help. i know clor theory, anatomy, composition and all that stuff. although you have promis, i have mixed feelings about helping you cause its a miserable profession, aside from the women and parties, because you always get ripped off and people think its ok to do so.

out of curiousity, i wonder if the picture is a reflection of your skepticism upon giving deviantart another chance. the individual seems rather dark (seems like he was left purposefully uncleaned up) and unsure about whether the right choice is being made.

*sorry, i could not help mocking your note not to say certain things. though i do not feel that those phrases hold any element of actual critique or descriptive merit, i often include them as they do sometimes describe part of how i feel about a pic. if you do not care about how people feel about your art, that is your concern and i will not push the issue, but please try to realize that the use of words like this by some of us are not to belittle art by giving it a trite review, but rather to express that (though the piece may be deserving of more of a critique), the pic is appreciated for some reason or another.

i realize that saying "this is nice" is a compliment. but if it's all one has to say, i'd settle for being added as a favorite. it's just as inpersonal and flattering.
i really appreciate your analasis on the pic. it's kind of like a guy who wears one of those t-shirts with a tie drawn on it to the prom. i guess i'm not really ready to pur my heart and soul into something that no one but me is really going to care about, but so goes the art world.

your analogy seems rather fitting. though i feel that for both (your pic and the prom shirt-tie dude), there is at least some element of worth. you make almost more of a comment by this 'copout' than if you were to have gone at some production to herald your return with great gusto. i am curious to see how your gallery continues to grow again (if you choose to let it).
