Deven Christian mack, born April 22 1988, is a Canadian voice actor who provides the voice of vangelis/the skull sorcerer, the re awakened, and korgrans axe in season 13

Trivia:
• in order to hide vangelis identity as skull sorcerer, he used a pseudonym. Until his reveal, he was credited as Ervin m Jordan. This technique was also used with Brent miller to hide Zane’s identity as the ice emperor in season 11
• he was not aware of vangelis ethnicity and appearance until the episodes he recorded for premiered, which didn’t have an impact on how he performed the character yet he feels awkward about the situation. Mack also clarified that had he seen the design beforehand, he wouldn’t have auditioned for the character, presumably to allow actors of Asian ethnicity the same opportunity for the character
• mack wrote on Kirby morrows passing that he was always incredibly warm and kind towards me. He immediately helped me feel welcomed into the Ninjago family. It was both an honor and joy to perform alongside him
