Garth Jennings, born 1972, is a British film director, screenwriter, producer, actor, and voice actor. In 1993, Jennings co founded the production company hammer and tongs with Dominic Leung and nick goldsmith. While primarily responsible for producing music videos, hammer and tongs also produced Jennings first two features, the 2005 adaptation of the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, and the 2007 comedy son of Rambow. Hammer and tongs would disband in 2012, and Jennings would go on to write and direct the 2016 animated film sing, its 2021 sequel sing 2, and come home, a tv spot advertising the latter movie
In addition to writing and directing the sing films, Jennings is also the voice of miss crawly, and co wrote the song I don’t wanna with Dave Bassett
