I don't know why I exactly land at your fics whenever I have the time to read one... but they are great, so, I enjoy it every time.
This one wasn't that easy to understand for me, I had to ask my dictionary two or three times. But it didn't know it either. (Thank you for helping out Internet...) When I understand it was cute and tearing me up a bit. Really, why do they have to become this in a hard time like WW I?
Maybe I should ask for a prompt myself once... but not know, because I'm at my limit with reading.

Oh my gosh, thank you! *faints* Your words of kindness mean so much to me as a writer.
Aha, I'm sorry that I sent you running back and forwards between a dictionary and my fic. However, I am glad that once you understood it you enjoyed it because this, unfortunately, is not the best I could have written for such a versatile prompt. I'm still super glad you liked it though and I'm really surprised/touched that it tugged on your heartstrings like it did! Tsk tsk, I know what you mean, friend... but think of it this way: Francis came to London (and subsequently re-found Arthur) because of the war. If you know where to look for the silver linings, you will always find them.
Go ahead and do so whenever you are ready. ^^ I don't think I will be closing those requests for a while so there's no rush or pressure on you, hun, just take things at our own pace.
So thanks for taking time out of your day to write such a beautiful, encouraging comment. I'm really glad that you found some joy in this little drabble, and I'm sorry about getting you all teary in the process.
P.S. I find our timing to be highly amusing
