okay since somebody asked for a print of this, might as well post. though not very optimized for website display unfortunately.this was one of my finals for drawing. we had to draw a silhouette and then fill it in with a lot of complicated designs. so, i did two eagles doing a courtship ritual and then filled it in with different things representing "freedom." asked around of people from different religions and such!
so.. yeah. i have no idea what grade on got on it but here it is in all it's glory.

the silhouette as a whole is meant to be two eagles in a courtship ritual, or did you mean what happens to be inside the silhouette?

well, i used a lot of american imagery just because i'm american myself lol. as much as i'd like to include other countries, i was incredibly pressed for time and after researching different religions used mostly in the bottom eagle, i just had to get to drawing unfortunately ):
but it wasn't really to put other countries down, either. as an american (though not necessarily an especially patriotic individual), freedom is definitely something that's very highly valued, perhaps ridiculously so, but it's not to say that america is necessarily more "free," only that freedom is a theme of the country in my opinion (like in some very famous compositions like america the beautiful and god bless the USA, or how one of the symbols of the nation is the statue of liberty).
i used the JFK image as while his presidency was definitely controversial, he was a huge advocate of the separation of church and state, and that's some i value highly as an atheist that feels she mostly needs to hide in her state. that's why i put him on.
MLK used because he freeing African American citizens from the oppression they suffered from for decades, and also felt his face was one that could be easily recognized even when drawn quickly.
and there's a lot of imagery form the American Revolution, for i suppose obvious reasons. another war filled with controversial, but ultimately advertised as freedom from its mother country, England.
andd the american flag simply placed there so that if the silhouettes weren't reasonable, it could serve as a hint as to what the images were lol.
and there's also plenty of Native American imagery scattered around. the bird i used was a freedom symbol in my research (but it was done incredibly quickly so i could be very wrong lol), as well as a dream catcher as sort of freedom from the fears of the night.
iiii hope this is what your asking for since you specifically asked about the US so i'm assume that's what you wanted answered haha.

oh I see, both representations inside both eagles are of Aspects of America and other countries you like.

oh, they're actually meant to represent different aspects of "freedom." like the bottom eagle most contains imagery from atheism, catholicism, and islam. the eagles were mostly just me exploring "freedom" rather than making any statements haha.
