Well whenever i make a less than startling fractal...i usually never toss it ...but i pull it into PS and start playing with filters and then save any slightly more stellar results.
Then when i make a ANOTHER less than stellar fractal ...which happens all the time in ULTRA FRACTAL cause i basically suck in it ... i pull THAT into PS and start layering all my altered falilures over it searching for all the mile markers we each use to determine whether we have achieved " happy computer "
So the "Retinal Confections " are part of what i call the FILTER FORTUITY SERIES ...since they are often examples of many many sessions of filtering everything from my failed fracs to grandma's cat ...and then trowing them into a big digital stew pot.
i guess i'm out to prove filters have more value then largely percieved. After all they are ( if limited respectively to their individual purposes ) fractal generators anyway ...

it doesn't look like much in the thumbnail, but when you open it up, it hits you. Its details are captivating! The bright greens start to make sense. You're amazing! I avoided commenting on this because I thought I'd criticize it, but not that I actually opened it, I'm impressed!

THis has been a disaster ....i've had retinal damage and near retinal damage ...spazz attacks ...and now headache aggravation and extension from this work ....
i guess i dont know what i'm doing anymore
..i used to just cause instantaneous death by beauty ..... it was never my intent to make others suffer long term ...
