Oh looky, another gif of Tapi. Nothing really interesting, just him and his obsession for licking my hand. My untalented left hand which is only useful for somethings. Tapi loves licking my sweaty hands. Doesn't even look like he's licking my hand but that's what he's doing.GIF Rabbit Lesson 2: Rabbits show their affection by licking and grooming their loved ones. Including people.
Tapi's a really friendly rabbit; you show that you love him (by petting him), he'll start licking you. came over to my house last year and met him for the first time. She petted him for a while and he got used to her scent and non threatening status and then he began licking her a lot.
He's may be a crazy bunny but he makes friends better than most people!
(Shall be a lot more rabbit gifs since a lot of people seem to like them! Each one will have some kind of rabbit info to spread the bunny word while I've got people's attention!)

Well, it sure is nice to have a dog, but it's hell when it comes to bathing him...

Still sounds like fun! I tried bathing Tapi once, he kinda just sat there and stared at me.
Hehe, my parents think dogs are too much work - fleas, bathing, walks, ect... and the whole free-animal-whole-house ranging thing is not appealing to my mom since she likes a clean house. Plus we have carpets in some rooms - perfect place for fleas to hide sometimes as well as a hard material to clean pee and poop out of. Tapi can be closed up in a cage for most of the day and only comes out when I'm supervising.

Ponta is trained by my dad (and a bit by me) so he's pretty well-behaved

Yup but they don't think I have the time/patience/experience for training a dog and they won't help.
Have you tried offering Ponta better food? When he's eating, just put a tasty treat (like human food - bacon, steak, something meaty off your plate) in your hand and slowly put your hand close to him. Every day, put your hand closer into the bowl with food until he gets used to getting treats in his food and associate your hand in his bowl as a good thing. Then try to take away his bowl and put in a very delicious snack in then giving it back so he'd think that taking his food away will result in a good thing - more food/treats!

Forgot to mention in the last reply: If you want a dog, you'll get a dog. We're all inexperienced and impatient at first, but we have to try in order to gain experience. It's like the first time we ever draw something
But since this is your parents - the authority in the house - this speech probably won't work *facepalm* but I think it just needs to be said out loud.

Hehe, yup! I know I will eventually own a dog or two.I just have to finish my education and move out into my own place and I'm already looking at all the apartments near by that allow pets. That kind of hope keeps me going and I'm not very sad about not having a dog right now because I know that owning a serious pet now would be bad; I won't have the time to properly care for it since my classes are getting harder and have more homework. But soon! I just have to be patient! Thanks though, it helps to know other people believe and love the same thing!

Fun fact: Letting your pets eat their food in the palm of your hand is a great way to create a bond :3

Hehe, yup! Because they're accepting food right out your palms; it's like the alpha wolves coming back from a hunt with food in their stomachs for the other, lower status wolves to eat. It bond them as a family and helps set social status as well as the dog knowing they'll get food from their masters only if they behave!
For most other pets though, it's just a trust bond - they'll eat out of your palms if they trust you enough! I usually feed Tapi treats out of my hands and I try touching his pellets a lot so he'll get my scent there whenever he eats.

Rabbits aren't usually expressive. But seeing Tapi in your GIFs, I swear I saw excitement in his eyes when you played with him. That has to be a bond

He loves it when I pet him - definite bond there. He knows me as his owner in a sense and he trusts me to do what's right for him.
And he knows my dad as the fresh veggies person too - he's always looking up when my dad goes into the garage.
