I've been really into Addams Family again this week and I looked back on my Moritica from 2 years ago [link] and well...I knew I could do so much better, so I did! lolMorticia is one of the coolest characters ever, and I love Angelica Huston's version of her. It was perfect. She portrayed the sort of passionate/serene/morbid/crazy thing very well. Her lines were all delivered perfectly

Indeed. I think Raul Julia was an awesome Gomez Addams, it's a shame that he died so young. I think he would have gone on to play a lot of good roles in a lot of good movies.
They are often the cool ones. Like Johnny Depp in Dark Shadows, which will be in theatres soon.

Yes, he is my favourite Gomez. I managed to find the musical online
and it's Nathan Lane, whom I love, and he was ok, but the musical
really did not have the Addams style...which made me very sad
I've been waiting for him to play a vampire since I saw him in Pirates!
That sounds odd but I love vampires and I always thought he'd be
brilliant as one.

I couldn't imagine an Addams Family musical. The Addams Family never really sang much, they were more the dancing types.
Nathan Lane as a vampire. Well, if not brilliant, he'd certainly be hilarious. I still think my favorite role of his was in Mouse Hunt.

Well, Morticia and Gomez did the Tango, and they did that
for the musical of course. It was really the issue of the
characters...They had Wednesday with a boyfriend and she
was upset because his parents were coming to dinner and she
wanted her family to be normal
I meant Johnny Depp as a vampire, sorry! you mentioned Dark Shadows.
I love Nathan Lane most in The Producers I think. and The Birdcage

Oh so it was a variation of the Addams Family. There was a boy that liked Wednesday in the Addams Family Values movie but she had no qualms about wanting her family to be normal. It's the little changes that kinda kills variations of the originals for me.
Oh yeah, he should be a great vampire. I just picture a Captain Jack Sparrow of the undead.
I didn't see The Producers, sadly, and I only saw part of The Birdcage but in the part that I did see he was hilariously dramatic.

no not really! Last fall the theater had a midnight showing
of Ferris Bueller. it was awesome! My friends and I were in
the back and we danced and sang along to the parade scene
