Yeah, they're not really exact, but that's just a generalization. I didnt really know how big the razorback was.

hmm . . . i think it should be a tiny bit smaller, and the Chimera a bit taller . . .
I do like it though.

isn't the chimera a bit small? I thought it be a bit taller than the razorback... great job as always...

Ty. No, sized up that's surprisingly the exact size. The raorback is actually a very tall light if you haven't taken it for a spin lately. It stands almost a torso over the firemoth.

Wow, hmm... I guess it does look right now that I think about it, I had used them with hunchbacks and urben mechs, so I never realy thought about it...

True.
They're so fat and slow. Their only real use is supression of other lights with a boatload of rapid-fire weapons.

nice job on the MC2, but i think the chimaera's a little undersized in comparison to the others.
what source is the Black Scorpion from, one of the Dark Age timelines?

all right. it's pretty impressive, though i'm thinking it might not be that efficient in straight-up combat. the tail looks rather vulnerable and the claw tips are apt to be blown off by an slight fire of the contained weapons. also, where's its cockpit?

FangtheTyphoon In reply to darksideofthemind [2006-04-30 23:42:45 +0000 UTC]
Frontside. The Atlas's hand can be blown off quite easily too, and the tail is thick, nothing short of a gauss rifle (book style) would take it off.

can this thing even torso twist then? if that tail has that much armor, it's gotta way a hell of a lot and the waist wopuld have to bear a lot weight. plus, the tail is gonna screw with the BS's balance a lot. if your mech takes a heavy salvo, the kind that just shakes a daishi or an atlas, it'll probably tip over. and if anybody got close enough to use hands or w/e, the tale would probably be a lever.
btw, what are the weapons on this thing? i'm assuming it's a 100-tonner.

the cicken walked legs increase the balance immensly.
Plasmacannon, and few UACs a Rocket launcher and some missiles.
Never made an exact config.

....uh, what's a plasmacannon? do you mean a PPC or an ERPPC?
and the rocket/missiles are the same thing, there's just different rack allotments. you can put Arrow/TAG equipment on it (not recommended except for fire-support mechs) or SRMs, MRMs or LRMs, mixing in Thunders or Infernos as you'd like.

Rail guns are nuts... they were so weird in MechCommander. Im thinking I should try out Mercs if so many mechs are now available....

sounds like a repackaged ERPPC or bombast laser, but w/e floats FAFSA's boat

but if it's in Mercs, a FAFSA product, how is it mektekian? did some person just suggest it to them and they ran with it?

To awnser the question that hasn't been awnsered for a long time...it's actually made by a high-end mod team that has been making a single MW4 dedicated mod since Vengance. Its known as MEK TEK. They're currently on Mek Tek: MP3.02a which includes over 100 new mechs and 10 or so battle armors, and new weapons. The Plasma Cannon is one of them. Some of my favorites is the Rail Gun and the new lineup of Heavy Lasers and X-Pulse Lasers.
