The sunset cast shadows on a young lion.
He looked up and he saw Kiara, a pretty young lioness, running up to him.
“Father!” she cried “You’re home!”
Then she stopped. Up close the Lion was unfamiliar. He had a similar build to Simba, but his mane and eyes looked nothing like him.
The young lion was a rouge.

”Who are you?” Kiara asked.
”Don’t you recognize me? I’m home.”
Kiara’s heart quickened.
”Kopa?” Could it really be her brother?
”Mother-“ Kopa began, but broke off. This lioness was not Nala. Her pelt was gold and her eyes looked more like Simba’s.

”Kiara!”

The two lions had not seen each other in years.

“How are Mom and Dad?” Kopa asked, worriedly.
“They’re great! Dad is out to visit our little brother Kion. He’s a king of another land now!” Kiara purred.
”We have a brother?!”
”Yes! And I’m the queen now, father stepped down because he wanted to be able to see my reign in his lifetime! Kovu is my mate, or shall I say ‘Prince’ Kovu!”
”Not king?”
”Who? Kovu? No, he let me be in charge! He knew I wanted to be!”
”...and what about Kodari, your betrothed?”
Kiara laughed. “Things have changed around here! Come back to Pride Rock and I’ll catch you up!”
