It'd have been even funnier if Samus had really struggled along the way, getting beat up by space pirates, falling in the lava, etc. etc.
Joke is a good idea! But when Samus is breezing through everything to get there I just don't think the punchline is as punchy, you know...? Still funny though! :3

My point is that it doesn't seem like she expelled that much effort. This comic: [link] has more or less the same gag, but the punchline hits better because you can see how busted up Link is, illustrating how much sheer effort it must have taken him to get there.
In this comic, the notion of the effort it takes to get there doesn't really come across, instead it just looks like she made it there with hardly any trouble at all. Again, the idea is there, I just don't think the execution quite allowed the joke to connect. The art is certainly very good, though.
