Description Beautiful Lara Pulver as Irene Adler from BBBC Sherlock, S02E01 A Scandal in Belgravia.
I had a lot of fun drawing this one because I could try out some of my new supplies. I really love Faber-Castell pure graphite pencils AND crayons, they're wonderful!!!

Hooray for new supplies! The eyes are great, Irene's definitely there and theres a lot going on in them. Again, I go to the hair, especially above and around her ear. I tell you, all the individual thin line work you do really adds a lot to your work. I dont know if you realize that, but its true. ANd Ive been around awhile haha.

THe only critique I would give on this, and I am hesitant to do so, is that there seems to be a lot of lines (dark & light) in the skin on her face, I think it adds to a 'leathery' feel to it. ANd again, I dont have the reference picture to compare (and thats not necessarily something that one should or needs to do when look at a piece of art) and granted, every humans face is different, but compared to the other portraits you do, they all seem smoother in comparison.

Again, that feels weird even saying that, but there it is. For what ever its worth.

Yay! It's always nice to get new supplies and try them out for the very first time! You know, lately I've been feeling like I can't draw realistic hair at all. I don't know why it is. But then again.. I feel like all my latest drawings are quite shitty

I definitely would not classify your art lately as "shitty". But you have been dishing out quite a lot of it, so its probably natural to feel that way. I would imagine you normally spend more time on one single to piece to get it as close to what you envisioned as possible. But at the same time, there's NOTHING at all wrong with the way your doing things at the moment either. You're oozing creativity lately and thats never a bad thing.

I feel like I should start spening more time on my drawings. I'm wondering how good they would be when I'd spend over 10 hours drawing them

More time definitely never hurt anyone. Unless it drives you crazy and you scribble it out, that would be bad.

Yeah, I do, right? Well, at the moment my secret is that I do not want to study for my exams.. So I do anything but studying I read and draw a lot. Also, there are just SO many pictures I'd like to draw, so every time I finish one I have another one in my mind
