Again a new portrait study - this time Mumei from Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, a great anime from the same studio that did Attack on Titan.
This was also the first painting I tried with the new Cintiq Pro 32" - review coming up on my blog soon...
Hence it took longer than usual just because I had to push around the UI and references and stuff but now I guess, my new workspace is all set up for new pieces and ready to go

I don't care if it hasn't the depth or political plot of Attack on Titan, if the story and setting aren't super fleshed out, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress was a joy for the eyes and the soul, and I firmly believe the creators sat at the table and said "Let's make something stunning-beautiful and stylish and utterly badass, nothing else matters!"
I mean, we had glorious 80s anime style resurrected in HD in the digital anime era, nobody else did that! And even the guy who made half of the anime style of the 80s, Haruhiko Mikimoto, made the character design! (I mean, he worked on some little unknown franchises like GUNDAM, Gunbuster and MACROSS, heck!)
Also, even if she's not my favourite character, every scene with Mumei in it is always better XD and your awesome art gives great justice to the character
