This is a photo of a Polecat that I took at The British Wildlife Centre.Comments are always appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that ferrets were in fact bred from polecats originally.

Depends who you ask I'm sure, but I think the general conclusion is a bad smell! Ferrets and polecats really do have a musk about them, which is ok if you're in the open air but if you're indoors it can get pretty bad.

LOL nice, I have a ferret in my room, she barely has the "musk" people deem as bad smell
I found out people in Arkansas call them polecats "skunks"..odd...very odd :\ and that's probably why I was told and mislead about polecats....
