Description

This is a more realistic dress up of my Star Wars OC, Nyx I did a while back that I decided to recolor. I think it turned out pretty good! Not crazy about the outfit (that’s why I cropped most of it out), but her hair, eyes, facial features, and skin color look really nice, almost right on! And I absolutely LOVE the color of her eyes! It’s such a perfect green and that’s why I named the artwork the title I did! I need to go back to that dress up game and do another one!

However, this isn't exactly what my OC, Nyx looks like. I haven't quite figured out the perfect look for her yet ^^ I decided to pair this picture with the bio because I like the realism of the artwork.

And she’s on her home planet of Dromund Kaas enjoying the prophetically dark sky which is a result of Sith Lords alchemy.

I don't have a last name for her yet. I'm terrible at names. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know and let me know if I missed any important categories in the bio. I’ve been working a really long time on this trying to get it perfect. My OC is still a work in progress, so there may be some things I missed and might come back to and update later if anything comes to mind. And please excuse any grammar, punctuation or other errors ^^

After the introduction, part 1 of my fan fiction, ‘The Daughter of Darth Vader’ follows the storyline of the animated TV series 'Star Wars Rebels' and it starts around the beginning of Season 2- Episode 1/2, 'The Siege of Lothal'. I'm currently working on an updated fan fiction based on my original story. I wanted to rewrite, improve, and give more detail to a new story. Unfortunately, it takes me FOREVER to write and I am not that good. My OC, Nyx means a lot to me, and I really love creating her story in any way I can! And I wanted to do this bio for fun and to give you some information about my OC and to explore my character more before I get into the story. Actual fan fiction is written in first person because I wanted to try it out. Coming soon.

It's actually kinda fun exploring the concept of Darth Vader raising a child. One of the evilest people of all time, a malicious cyborg having a soft spot for family. How would he have raised Luke if he got the opportunity? I try to make it as realistic as possible. I know I sometimes go a little over-board when it comes to the relationship and sentiment between the two. Just trying to explore new territory and the psyche of a of one-of-a-kind Jedi Knight turned all-powerful Dark Lord of the Sith ^^

Fun fact: The name ‘Nyx’ means ‘night’ in Greek origin. In Greek mythology, Nyx is the daughter of chaos and an ancient goddess of the night. She is a shadowy figure immersed in darkness that existed near the beginning of time. Her name literally means night, so what better name for an all-powerful Dark Lady of the Sith?

Traditional black and grey Sith robes/garb; long/short hooded cloaks/robes (to conceal face); robes with long/short sleeves and cloaks tied at neck; capes; straight leg pants (sometimes leggings) tucked into high boots or ankle boots; sometimes wore short flowy skirts with tight pants underneath; slide-on shoes or tie shoes; flare/baggy pants; long-sleeve shirt, short-sleeve shirt, or tank-top with high collar or scoop/V neckline (most of the time tight-fitting); belts of a few different kind; sashes; armbands, wristbands (wrist/hand wraps to help with combat and Lightsaber grip, technique, and stability), and gloves; gauntlets and warrior’s gloves; special occasion/ceremonial attire; variety of training and combat gear/weapons and padding; light armor/heavy armor; capris, jacket, short coat or vest; specially designed imperial uniform (which is not worn much; prefers own clothes); a few different types of helmets (full helmets); masks (facial coverings); backpack, belt bags, pouches or multi-pouched belts (for carrying around communicator and other important items and for collecting things off the ground); prefers tighter clothes to baggy clothes (easier to maneuver in), though sometimes wore baggy pants; loose fitting robe or cloak with tighter clothes underneath (likes to wear two layers, but sometimes only needs one); prefers tight, but flexible clothing

Each piece of clothing is either black, grey or another dark color (also sometimes has some white mixed in there; does own some lighter colored clothing which is mainly only used for times she’s alone); some clothing is all black and simple, and others have different colors and designs to them; the stitching and design of some robes, cloaks, and other clothing were pretty plain and ordinary, while others were a bit fancier; some were more personalized reflecting her personality better than others; owns sets of both traditional and non-traditional Sith robes/clothing and armor of various designs; Nyx owns many different specialized and detailed outfits; Nyx has specific requirements to outfits and some were designed for a particular purpose set by both herself and her father; Nyx has her own style approved by herself and her father

Prefers not to wear armor (doesn’t like how heavy it is; prefers to be lighter and freer), but does wear it for certain times and for certain things; never trains in long robes

Always dressed her best and to her father’s liking when meeting new people and important imperial officials or for going on special outings; owns some more expressive clothing, but saves those for other times; for her own protection, father liked her clothing to be more functional/practical than fashionable, so she sometimes wore armor plates/chest plates and/or cortosis armor over clothes or over/under robes; had basic armor and robes fitted with cortosis (liked the idea of wearing indestructible clothing and being totally invulnerable); father preferred that she wore distinctive attire so that she would be recognized and to intimidate/impress enemies and allies (especially during special events, outings, official meetings, and for when it comes time for her to go out on her own); for the most part she agreed to the requirements, but doesn’t always dress quite to her father’s standards- doesn’t really have many people to show off to on a regular basis and she would rather dress the way she wanted rather than dress the way other people expect her to, but does always like to dress to impress and dressing well always makes herself feel good

Nyx thought that the ability created in ancient times to infuse Sith alchemy into clothing and armor in order to, if channeled right, increase the wearers’ ability, strength, and wisdom within the Dark Force was pretty cool; wants to one day own some Force-imbued robes to enhance connection and assist ability to the Force

Nyx owns specially designed robes, cloaks, and armor that were made just for her, along with basic ones and others she picked out herself; some outfits were made from a hand-woven fabric and others were from various shops; Nyx recognized that Sith apparel was designed similar in style to that of Jedi robes- they were just black/dark versions of Jedi robes with some being somewhat more personalized and fancier than others; Nyx has multiple wardrobes filled with a variety of different clothing and accessories; there were many various basic/regular and high-end/unique fabrics and metallic alloys that made up Nyx’s wardrobe; Nyx does not wear any material made from animal skins



Other important facts:

Lives on the Sith home world of Dromund Kaas at the citadel (also does Lightsaber and combat training there) in the heart of Kaas City; kept hidden and a secret for the first part of her life (for about 19 years)

Lives during the reign of Emperor Palpatine, a.k.a. Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Sidious; Nyx had never met the Emperor, but Emperor knows about her

Wasn’t allowed alone outside citadel grounds until old enough to be aware of and defend against the threats that lurked in every corner; taught to always be on guard in any and all situations; father always advised her to stay in the shadows

Been off home planet only a handful of times for training exercises and imperial experience (always with father either in space on Stardestroyer or on a specific planet)

Learned everything having to do with the Force, being a Sith, and the Empire and being part of it from father, and had to learn pretty much everything else by herself, her droid, or from her caretakers and the people around her

Father was very closed off and Nyx always wondered what’s on his mind; can sense father’s everlasting anger, pain, sorrow, and hatred through the Force and wondered why he always felt that way and why he wouldn’t tell her anything about it

Clueless about father’s tragic past until one day when she’s 13 years old and he told her what happened between him and the Jedi; she first found indisputable evidence from old records about father’s past and his former life and was so shocked at what she found, she went straight to father and for the first time in her life he opened up and decided he finally needed to tell her the truth; this was also the first time she ever saw his face

When Nyx was 14 years old, she found out shocking and forever changing information about her father’s past during the anniversary week of Padmé Amidala’s death and her father’s transformation into Darth Vader; this was also the last time Nyx saw her father’s face for a while

Nyx only found out who her mother was and the details of her death when she was about 14 years old

Nyx had only ever seen her father’s face, without his mask about 5 or so times at this point in her life; first time Nyx ever saw her father’s face was when she was 13 and he first told her about his past

Relationship with father is complicated and estranged, to say the least; it’s sort of ‘one way’; the relationship between Nyx and her father worked partially because she was who she was and she was the way she was and didn’t have the personality or desires of an ordinary Sith; Nyx wanted to please father and be worthy of him in any and every way she could and worried she always fell short, and since father hardly ever expressed how he felt, she always felt she was to blame for everything

In the beginning, the relationship between Nyx and her father started off like a normal Sith master and apprentice relationship, but overtime grew to be something much more; overtime, they became very close (as close as a Sith Lord can become with someone, that is)

Father secretly, but genuinely cared about his daughter, but hardly ever showed it wanting to prolong the sense of rigidness that the Sith had always portrayed; he felt for her, but didn’t show it well or had a weird way of showing it and almost always kept his affection a secret; he never showed her any sort of emotion or weakness (physically or mentally) and hardly ever any sympathy believing she would adopt a bad habit and it would affect her growth as a Sith; they hardly ever talked about personal stuff (stuff concerning either of them; it’s always straight to business); despite this, and his harsh Sith nature and approach, father was very protective of daughter and he never put her in harm’s way or made her do anything she wasn’t ready for (didn’t think of her as disposable); he treated her in a special way differently than anyone else which could mean easier on or harder on depending on the situation; he did everything in his power to protect and ready her for the outside world and keep her safe in every possible situation even if it seemed harsh at the time (which was also part of the reason why her training took so long, he had such strict rules, and she wasn’t allowed off the planet); father secretly liked having someone learning from him and looking up to him for everything, which started when Nyx was a little girl; raising a young, open-minded, impressionable girl who clung to his every word, had the same abilities, and wanted nothing more than to follow in his footsteps was a challenge, but also a great reward; Nyx recognized her father’s feelings and knew deep down he cared for her, but wished he’d be more open with her and show it more and act more like a father and not just a commanding officer; Nyx and her father bonded in their own unique way through the Force and their special connection as father and daughter

Nyx was taught she was superior than all others and to always think of herself as such and to always automatically expect it from others because of her power within the Force, position within the Empire, and simply because of who she was as a Dark Force wielder and the daughter of a Sith Lord; she was taught to always look down on everyone else, that few were on the same level as her or shared the same status, and that no one was worth her time or attention; she was taught she deserved the same respect as her father and not to tolerate any insubordinates and if it wasn’t met, she was meant to demand it and take things into her own hands and take it by any means necessary, though Nyx did not always solve her problems with brute force and always treat people badly; she was taught she didn’t necessarily need to earn respect, but to stay in high esteem she was meant to act the part and stay in line; as long as she followed her father’s instructions and lived by his rules, Nyx was taught that everyone around her lived to serve the Empire, lived to serve her and lived for her to learn from and once they outlived their usefulness they were to be disregarded

There was an everlasting light inside Nyx that her father tried her whole life to extinguish, but never fully could; eventually he accepted it and stopped trying to change her and worked with who she was inside

Nyx had two completely different sides to her: One that was a ferocious, power-driven, very gifted Sith and other a spirited, warm, easygoing person which most of the time had to be suppressed, especially in public; depending on the situation or how Nyx was feeling, either side could be used or one side used more than the other

Father was the only one who understood her and accepted her the way she was despite her being so different than everyone else; father was able to sense Nyx’s precents through the Force (and vis versa) and father could easily sense her feelings and emotions better than he could anyone else due to their relationship and her openness towards him; Nyx had trouble reading father, but knew he was always under a cloud of strong emotions and stress; did not necessary need the Force to sense the types of intense emotions father displayed; Nyx believed that none of her emotions or anything she could ever possibly feel compared to what father always felt inside and this made her believe her feelings were inconsequential and made her hide what she truly felt and act as though nothing ever bothered her; she believed that if her father could push those kind of things away, so should she, and she never wanted father to see that sometimes her emotions got the better of her; but it was hard for Nyx to keep things from father since he somehow always already knew what she felt inside whether she was open with it or not; father usually didn’t bring it up unless it was something big she was hiding; Nyx and her father were very in-tune with each other and she believed he always knew best no matter the situation or circumstances

Nyx never referred to father as ‘master’ and father never referred to her as ‘apprentice’ (always ‘father/daughter’)

Only ever had direct conversations with father; father was only contact; owned special holographic communication device linked directly to father for emergencies and imperial updates

Most of the time father was off-world and Nyx was left with training exercises designed specifically for her by him (along with many basic ones she knew by heart); father returned to planet to check on her progress and usually only stayed for a couple days at a time; he usually said very little about where he’d been or what he’d been doing and often observed her train in silence and only spoke up to tell her what she needed to improve on or do next; Nyx wondered what he’d been up to for all the time he’d been away; she sometimes asked him about it and at times he was open with her if it was something important that he wanted her to know; father could be gone for months at a time; father being absent was all too familiar to Nyx and she learned to not depend on him but solely depend on herself for pretty much everything; he usually never told her when he was leaving or when he’d be back; if Nyx wanted to talk to father she needed to act quickly, know what she was going to say ahead of time, and be certain it was important enough for his time, and sometimes he wasn’t receptive when the opportunity came and she tried to talk to him and she also didn’t want to push because she knew he already had a lot of other important things going on

Nyx had several different designated training spots within the citadel and on the grounds and sometimes out in the jungle or near old Sith ruins; always trained alone, with no other students around, and had special sparing partners and other instructors observing her progress in order to report to father; father instructed her one-on-one regularly as well

Nyx was known to all outsiders and people who didn’t know her as very mysterious, elusive, and dangerous; Nyx had a fierce reputation throughout the planet and among its citizens (to those who knew her and to those who just knew of her) within the citadel and in the city; due to her lifestyle and the amount of secrecy she lived under, Nyx knew the people around her, people who didn’t really know her (which no one really did) probably thought she was strange and there was probably gossip within the citadel and on Dromund Kaas in the city about her; though Nyx didn't really care what other people thought about her and ignored any whispers she may have heard over the years; one thing Nyx did know for sure was there were a lot of people, even on the Sith home world, that feared the Sith, so the people who knew who she was in general and knew that she was one of them left her alone (that the whispers she heard were just meaningless words) and not to mention not a lot of city-folk came around where she lived

When in public (the handful of times she’d been off-world and sometimes on Dromund Kaas) and around other imperial officials, Nyx always followed father completely silent with hood overhead concealing face and long black robes (like a dark shadow) to increase the fear factor and because father didn’t want her out of his sight just yet and he didn’t want anyone to know who she was yet either; he told her that her going out was not for others, but it’s for her own learning experience, that’s why she had to hide; though she knew the real reason and that that was just an excuse, but didn’t know why he’s keeping her a secret

Nyx wanted to be just like father someday, just minus the life-support suit and tragic past

Nyx’s official training ended at around age 18 and at that point she was declared a fully-fledged Sith master (and a Dark Lady of the Sith) and deemed ready to take on the next step of her life; one year went by as father was on the search to find right position for her, when he received word about Jedi being found on the distant planet Lothal working with a small insurgent group and thought that that would be the perfect first experience for her outside Dromund Kaas; father told Nyx of this discovery and his plans for her soon after and said she’d be leaving for this planet in a few months and it would become her new home for the time being; during this time while preparing to leave, (and also for the year she was released from her training responsibilities and given more freedom) Nyx kept a similar schedule for herself in order to stay sharp within the Force and be ready for anything; Nyx departed for Lothal at age 19

Nyx had her own private room within the citadel’s upper levels on a private floor and she used the space to express herself and her interests; she decorated it with some of the best rocks and shells she’d found over the years, along with other things that reflected her personality

Despite the unpleasant weather and threatening surroundings, Nyx didn’t mind living on Dromund Kaas; she had gotten used to it all over the years learning to live with it the best she could growing a strong connection with her home, the Force contained there, and the planet itself

Nyx wondered why she was so different than other Sith and everyone else on the planet, but also liked being unique

Father had very high expectations for Nyx; Nyx thought father was never satisfied and worked very hard to impress him; father had strict rules for Nyx about virtually everything ranging from her day-to-day training regime and schedule and how she acted and presented herself to what she did in her free time, who she interacted with, the emotions she felt, how she dressed, and even what food she ate which she found ways to cope with and even sometimes ways around

Nyx’s first real responsibility outside Dromund Kaas and her training was going to the planet Lothal to deal with a growing insurgent problem and newly discovered Jedi; upon arriving and for the time being, Nyx was just there to observe and maybe overtime do some small things; she was meant to be her father’s own personal eyes and ears on the planet in his absence; she was told that most likely being on Lothal was only going to be a temporary position for her because the Empire was more than equip to squash the little rebellion before it got too big; father told her from the start what her purpose was to be there: to get hands-on experience and to learn first-hand the inner workings of the Empire; she was a little disappointed that she wasn’t allowed to actually do anything, but she was so eager to get started and to take on the next step of her life she understood and accepted ready for anything that came her way; she was meant to learn all she could before the Empire prevailed and father said he’d be around to put an end to the Jedi



Fun facts:

When Nyx was younger, she thought all Stormtroopers were robots since they always mindlessly did what they were told and they all looked the same.

Nyx’s hair was naturally blonde until about age 8 when it started getting darker as she grew.

Nyx met the Swamp Wampas for the first time when she was 10 years old and the first one she bonded with she named, 'Swampy'; their bond grew very strong, they trusted her and they even let her ride them.

Nyx memorized the Sith Code, along with many other facts at a very young age; she also knew the Jedi Code and other facts about the Jedi but were not all memorized; father always used to say, “In order to defeat your enemies you must first know them”.

Nyx does not have an official Sith name or title and just goes by her first name; Nyx was considered a ‘Dark Lady of the Sith’.

Nyx was mature for her age; due to her surroundings and lifestyle, Nyx had a lot of time to herself to think and reflect on who she wanted to be; she was often alone with only her thoughts cultivating herself and her mind in the direction she aimed to go; Nyx was considered to be somewhat of a prodigy when it came to her Force and Lightsaber training and she was able to accomplish much at an early age, things very few others recorded in history could do; Nyx lived in her own little world which revolved around her father, her planet, Dark Force training, her studies, and later on other imperial duties.

Nyx’s very first lesson on the Force was when she was about 2 years old and it was from a Holocron; she was able to open both Sith and Jedi Holocrons; Nyx’s strong potential within the Force showed itself soon after she was born.

Nyx was born to Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala on the planet Coruscant before Skywalker turned to the Dark Side; Nyx was born about a year before the Clone War conflict ended and her mother’s death; after the tragic events and father’s reconstruction, Nyx was reunited with her father and he took her to Dromund Kaas to begin her Sith training.

Father not only had strict rules about Nyx’s training regime and her actions, but also about her appearance and how she dressed and presented herself to others (which she also paid attention to herself); father insisted she always wear black and grey Sith warrior clothing, but he was all right with her not wearing the traditional Sith robes all the time; she found subtle ways around his strict rules in order to express herself. Example: Nyx owned a black cloak where the inside of it, along with the hood was lined in dark blue, which was her favorite color, and she sometimes wore hair accessories and jewelry. She figured it was so close to black and the accessories were so small her father wouldn’t mind and she turned her attention to other dark colors as well. And she was also always keen on making things match, she was a bit of a fashionista.

Nyx had a very innocent look and lighthearted natural personality about her that most Sith throughout history did not in any way have; people who had been introduced to her for the first time were somewhat surprised she was the daughter of a Sith Lord; the way she acted (her natural self) was different than a usual Sith as well, but she more than made up for it in her skills, Force abilities, and knowledge; Nyx fit in with the populous, at least in appearance; most of the time Nyx had to suppress her natural self in order to fit in with her surroundings; Nyx could be very fearsome when she wanted to or when needed.

Nyx could draw energy from the Dark Force without necessarily being angry or feeling negative emotions; she learned to control her emotions to best suit the situation; she was so used to living under the Dark Force in day to day life, she didn’t always need to have negative emotions in order to channel its power (especially not after she became more experienced); strong emotions did make the connection stronger, but there were many times she was just as strong within the Dark Force without feeling bad emotionally; Nyx did not understand how this worked and it wasn’t possible to explain, but since it worked for her, she didn’t question it and just went with it.

Nyx was not short on imperial credits and could pretty much buy anything she liked (as long as her father would approve and if it was something she knew he wouldn’t, she would just hide it from him, which didn’t happen much); Nyx was privileged in this aspect and lived on the higher end of society, though she didn’t take advantage of it as much as others would; Nyx enjoyed the nicer, finer, and fancier things in life, but she wasn't necessarily greedy.

Nyx had many hobbies she enjoyed in her free time in order to clear her mind and focus on something else for a little while; her hobbies include: drawing, journaling, taking long walks/hikes and speeder bike rides, swimming in the oceans of Dromund Kaas and private pools within the citadel, hanging out with Swamp Wampa friends, learning new things about her various interests, anything and everything having to do with nature, designing clothing outfits and decorating rooms, shopping, collecting unique things, creating jewelry, karate, gymnastics, telekinesis (almost everything done had some aspect of the Force included in the activity, whether it was while training and growing as a Sith or her more personal interests; sometimes her hobbies and duties to the Empire intertwined in some way)

Nyx had a secret stash of all the rocks, shells, artifacts, and other things she had collected over the years hidden in a tree stump underneath one of the many swampy trees in the jungle; she also had other secret spots in the jungle, Kaas City, and within the citadel where she took refuge.

Pretty much her whole life, Nyx thought where she lived was kind of bleak and wanted a bit more color in her life; it was always the ‘same old, same old’ and she found small ways to make her life a little cheerier; she found ways to cope with the extreme isolation her father made her live under and eventually she just got used to it and referred to it as ‘normal’.

Not only was Nyx’s life full of new experiences as she learned and grew, but her father’s was as well as he learned how to raise a child and form, what eventually became a very strong connection to someone else amidst all his other duties within the Empire and as a Dark Lord of the Sith; throughout Nyx’s life, there were many experiences, both physically and mentally and emotionally, that were new territory for both her and her father which greatly impacted both their lives over the years; some things the two of them learned together for the first time; father was not used to the types of emotions or the side of him Nyx brought out in him and he pushed them and her away for the longest time (like he was used to and had always done), but he eventually started to like them and was secretly drawn to them as he accepted her as his daughter despite her good heart.

Nyx had always felt an invisible precents around her protecting her; Nyx was around officials and those who were charged with her well-being, but sometimes it felt like more than just what the eye could see; Nyx knew her father would always be there for her when she needed it.

Description

This is a more realistic dress up of my Star Wars OC, Nyx I did a while back that I decided to recolor. I think it turned out pretty good! Not crazy about the outfit (that’s why I cropped most of it out), but her hair, eyes, facial features, and skin color look really nice, almost right on! And I absolutely LOVE the color of her eyes! It’s such a perfect green and that’s why I named the artwork the title I did! I need to go back to that dress up game and do another one!

However, this isn't exactly what my OC, Nyx looks like. I haven't quite figured out the perfect look for her yet ^^ I decided to pair this picture with the bio because I like the realism of the artwork.

And she’s on her home planet of Dromund Kaas enjoying the prophetically dark sky which is a result of Sith Lords alchemy.

I don't have a last name for her yet. I'm terrible at names. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know and let me know if I missed any important categories in the bio. I’ve been working a really long time on this trying to get it perfect. My OC is still a work in progress, so there may be some things I missed and might come back to and update later if anything comes to mind. After the introduction, part 1 of my fan fiction, ‘The Daughter of Darth Vader’ follows the storyline of the animated TV series 'Star Wars Rebels' and it starts around the beginning of Season 2- Episode 1/2, 'The Siege of Lothal'. I'm currently working on an updated fan fiction based on my original story. I wanted to rewrite, improve, and give more detail to a new story. Unfortunately, it takes me FOREVER to write and I am not that good. My OC, Nyx means a lot to me, and I really love creating her story in any way I can! And I wanted to do this bio for fun and to give you some information about my OC and to explore my character more before I get into the story. Actual fan fiction is written in first person because I wanted to try it out. Coming soon.

It's actually kinda fun exploring the concept of Darth Vader raising a child. One of the evilest people of all time, a malicious cyborg having a soft spot for family. How would he have raised Luke if he got the opportunity? I try to make it as realistic as possible. I know I sometimes go a little over-board when it comes to the relationship and sentiment between the two. Just trying to explore new territory and the psyche of a of one-of-a-kind Jedi Knight turned all-powerful Dark Lord of the Sith ^^

Fun fact: The name ‘Nyx’ means ‘night’ in Greek origin. In Greek mythology, Nyx is the daughter of chaos and an ancient goddess of the night. She is a shadowy figure immersed in darkness that existed near the beginning of time. Her name literally means night, so what better name for an all-powerful Dark Lady of the Sith?

Nyx owns specially designed robes, cloaks, and armor that were made just for her, along with basic ones and others she picked out herself; some outfits were made from a hand-woven fabric and others were from various shops; Nyx recognized that Sith apparel was designed similar in style to that of Jedi robes- they were just black/dark versions of Jedi robes with some being somewhat more personalized and fancier than others; Nyx has multiple wardrobes filled with a variety of different clothing and accessories; there were many various basic/regular and high-end/unique fabrics and metallic alloys that made up Nyx’s wardrobe; Nyx does not wear any material made from animal skins

Lives on the Sith home world of Dromund Kaas at the citadel (also does Lightsaber and combat training there) in the heart of Kaas City; kept hidden and a secret for the first part of her life (for about 19 years)

Lives during the reign of Emperor Palpatine, a.k.a. Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Sidious; Nyx had never met the Emperor, but Emperor knows about her

Wasn’t allowed alone outside citadel grounds until old enough to be aware of and defend against the threats that lurked in every corner; taught to always be on guard in any and all situations; father always advised her to stay in the shadows

Been off home planet only a handful of times for training exercises and imperial experience (always with father either in space on Stardestroyer or on a specific planet)

Learned everything having to do with the Force, being a Sith, and the Empire and being part of it from father, and had to learn pretty much everything else by herself, her droid, or from her caretakers and the people around her

Father was very closed off and Nyx always wondered what’s on his mind; can sense father’s everlasting anger, pain, sorrow, and hatred through the Force and wondered why he always felt that way and why he wouldn’t tell her anything about it

Clueless about father’s tragic past until one day when she’s 13 years old and he told her what happened between him and the Jedi; she first found indisputable evidence from old records about father’s past and his former life and was so shocked at what she found, she went straight to father and for the first time in her life he opened up and decided he finally needed to tell her the truth; this was also the first time she ever saw his face

When Nyx was 14 years old, she found out shocking and forever changing information about her father’s past during the anniversary week of Padmé Amidala’s death and her father’s transformation into Darth Vader; this was also the last time Nyx saw her father’s face for a while

Nyx only found out who her mother was and the details of her death when she was about 14 years old

Nyx had only ever seen her father’s face, without his mask about 5 or so times at this point in her life; first time Nyx ever saw her father’s face was when she was 13 and he first told her about his past

Relationship with father is complicated and estranged, to say the least; it’s sort of ‘one way’; the relationship between Nyx and her father worked partially because she was who she was and she was the way she was and didn’t have the personality or desires of an ordinary Sith; Nyx wanted to please father and be worthy of him in any and every way she could and worried she always fell short, and since father hardly ever expressed how he felt, she always felt she was to blame for everything

In the beginning, the relationship between Nyx and her father started off like a normal Sith master and apprentice relationship, but overtime grew to be something much more; overtime, they became very close (as close as a Sith Lord can become with someone, that is)

Father secretly, but genuinely cared about his daughter, but hardly ever showed it wanting to prolong the sense of rigidness that the Sith had always portrayed; he felt for her, but didn’t show it well or had a weird way of showing it and almost always kept his affection a secret; he never showed her any sort of emotion or weakness (physically or mentally) and hardly ever any sympathy believing she would adopt a bad habit and it would affect her growth as a Sith; they hardly ever talked about personal stuff (stuff concerning either of them; it’s always straight to business); despite this, and his harsh Sith nature and approach, father was very protective of daughter and he never put her in harm’s way or made her do anything she wasn’t ready for (didn’t think of her as disposable); he treated her in a special way differently than anyone else which could mean easier on or harder on depending on the situation; he did everything in his power to protect and ready her for the outside world and keep her safe in every possible situation even if it seemed harsh at the time (which was also part of the reason why her training took so long, he had such strict rules, and she wasn’t allowed off the planet); father secretly liked having someone learning from him and looking up to him for everything, which started when Nyx was a little girl; raising a young, open-minded, impressionable girl who clung to his every word, had the same abilities, and wanted nothing more than to follow in his footsteps was a challenge, but also a great reward; Nyx recognized her father’s feelings and knew deep down he cared for her, but wished he’d be more open with her and show it more and act more like a father and not just a commanding officer; Nyx and her father bonded in their own unique way through the Force and their special connection as father and daughter

Nyx was taught she was superior than all others and to always think of herself as such and to always automatically expect it from others because of her power within the Force, position within the Empire, and simply because of who she was as a Dark Force wielder and the daughter of a Sith Lord; she was taught to always look down on everyone else, that few were on the same level as her or shared the same status, and that no one was worth her time or attention; she was taught she deserved the same respect as her father and not to tolerate any insubordinates and if it wasn’t met, she was meant to demand it and take things into her own hands and take it by any means necessary, though Nyx did not always solve her problems with brute force and always treat people badly; she was taught she didn’t necessarily need to earn respect, but to stay in high esteem she was meant to act the part and stay in line; as long as she followed her father’s instructions and lived by his rules, Nyx was taught that everyone around her lived to serve the Empire, lived to serve her and lived for her to learn from and once they outlived their usefulness they were to be disregarded

There was an everlasting light inside Nyx that her father tried her whole life to extinguish, but never fully could; eventually he accepted it and stopped trying to change her and worked with who she was inside

Nyx had two completely different sides to her: One that was a ferocious, power-driven, very gifted Sith and other a spirited, warm, easygoing person which most of the time had to be suppressed, especially in public; depending on the situation or how Nyx was feeling, either side could be used or one side used more than the other

Father was the only one who understood her and accepted her the way she was despite her being so different than everyone else; father was able to sense Nyx’s precents through the Force (and vis versa) and father could easily sense her feelings and emotions better than he could anyone else due to their relationship and her openness towards him; Nyx had trouble reading father, but knew he was always under a cloud of strong emotions and stress; did not necessary need the Force to sense the types of intense emotions father displayed; Nyx believed that none of her emotions or anything she could ever possibly feel compared to what father always felt inside and this made her believe her feelings were inconsequential and made her hide what she truly felt and act as though nothing ever bothered her; she believed that if her father could push those kind of things away, so should she, and she never wanted father to see that sometimes her emotions got the better of her; but it was hard for Nyx to keep things from father since he somehow always already knew what she felt inside whether she was open with it or not; father usually didn’t bring it up unless it was something big she was hiding; Nyx and her father were very in-tune with each other and she believed he always knew best no matter the situation or circumstances

Nyx never referred to father as ‘master’ and father never referred to her as ‘apprentice’ (always ‘father/daughter’)

Only ever had direct conversations with father; father was only contact; owned special holographic communication device linked directly to father for emergencies and imperial updates

Most of the time father was off-world and Nyx was left with training exercises designed specifically for her by him (along with many basic ones she knew by heart); father returned to planet to check on her progress and usually only stayed for a couple days at a time; he usually said very little about where he’d been or what he’d been doing and often observed her train in silence and only spoke up to tell her what she needed to improve on or do next; Nyx wondered what he’d been up to for all the time he’d been away; she sometimes asked him about it and at times he was open with her if it was something important that he wanted her to know; father could be gone for months at a time; father being absent was all too familiar to Nyx and she learned to not depend on him but solely depend on herself for pretty much everything; he usually never told her when he was leaving or when he’d be back; if Nyx wanted to talk to father she needed to act quickly, know what she was going to say ahead of time, and be certain it was important enough for his time, and sometimes he wasn’t receptive when the opportunity came and she tried to talk to him and she also didn’t want to push because she knew he already had a lot of other important things going on

Nyx had several different designated training spots within the citadel and on the grounds and sometimes out in the jungle or near old Sith ruins; always trained alone, with no other students around, and had special sparing partners and other instructors observing her progress in order to report to father; father instructed her one-on-one regularly as well

Nyx was known to all outsiders and people who didn’t know her as very mysterious, elusive, and dangerous; Nyx had a fierce reputation throughout the planet and among its citizens (to those who knew her and to those who just knew of her) within the citadel and in the city; due to her lifestyle and the amount of secrecy she lived under, Nyx knew the people around her, people who didn’t really know her (which no one really did) probably thought she was strange and there was probably gossip within the citadel and on Dromund Kaas in the city about her; though Nyx didn't really care what other people thought about her and ignored any whispers she may have heard over the years; one thing Nyx did know for sure was there were a lot of people, even on the Sith home world, that feared the Sith, so the people who knew who she was in general and knew that she was one of them left her alone (that the whispers she heard were just meaningless words) and not to mention not a lot of city-folk came around where she lived

When in public (the handful of times she’d been off-world and sometimes on Dromund Kaas) and around other imperial officials, Nyx always followed father completely silent with hood overhead concealing face and long black robes (like a dark shadow) to increase the fear factor and because father didn’t want her out of his sight just yet and he didn’t want anyone to know who she was yet either; he told her that her going out was not for others, but it’s for her own learning experience, that’s why she had to hide; though she knew the real reason and that that was just an excuse, but didn’t know why he’s keeping her a secret

Nyx wanted to be just like father someday, just minus the life-support suit and tragic past

Nyx’s official training ended at around age 18 and at that point she was declared a fully-fledged Sith master (and a Dark Lady of the Sith) and deemed ready to take on the next step of her life; one year went by as father was on the search to find right position for her, when he received word about Jedi being found on the distant planet Lothal working with a small insurgent group and thought that that would be the perfect first experience for her outside Dromund Kaas; father told Nyx of this discovery and his plans for her soon after and said she’d be leaving for this planet in a few months and it would become her new home for the time being; during this time while preparing to leave, (and also for the year she was released from her training responsibilities and given more freedom) Nyx kept a similar schedule for herself in order to stay sharp within the Force and be ready for anything; Nyx departed for Lothal at age 19

Nyx had her own private room within the citadel’s upper levels on a private floor and she used the space to express herself and her interests; she decorated it with some of the best rocks and shells she’d found over the years, along with other things that reflected her personality

Despite the unpleasant weather and threatening surroundings, Nyx didn’t mind living on Dromund Kaas; she had gotten used to it all over the years learning to live with it the best she could growing a strong connection with her home, the Force contained there, and the planet itself

Nyx wondered why she was so different than other Sith and everyone else on the planet, but also liked being unique

Father had very high expectations for Nyx; Nyx thought father was never satisfied and worked very hard to impress him; father had strict rules for Nyx about virtually everything ranging from her day-to-day training regime and schedule and how she acted and presented herself to what she did in her free time, who she interacted with, the emotions she felt, how she dressed, and even what food she ate which she found ways to cope with and even sometimes ways around

Nyx’s first real responsibility outside Dromund Kaas and her training was going to the planet Lothal to deal with a growing insurgent problem and newly discovered Jedi; upon arriving and for the time being, Nyx was just there to observe and maybe overtime do some small things; she was meant to be her father’s own personal eyes and ears on the planet in his absence; she was told that most likely being on Lothal was only going to be a temporary position for her because the Empire was more than equip to squash the little rebellion before it got too big; father told her from the start what her purpose was to be there: to get hands-on experience and to learn first-hand the inner workings of the Empire; she was a little disappointed that she wasn’t allowed to actually do anything, but she was so eager to get started and to take on the next step of her life she understood and accepted ready for anything that came her way; she was meant to learn all she could before the Empire prevailed and father said he’d be around to put an end to the Jedi



Fun facts:

When Nyx was younger, she thought all Stormtroopers were robots since they always mindlessly did what they were told and they all looked the same.

Nyx’s hair was naturally blonde until about age 8 when it started getting darker as she grew.

Nyx met the Swamp Wampas for the first time when she was 10 years old and the first one she bonded with she named, 'Swampy'; their bond grew very strong, they trusted her and they even let her ride them.

Nyx memorized the Sith Code, along with many other facts at a very young age; she also knew the Jedi Code and other facts about the Jedi but were not all memorized; father always used to say, “In order to defeat your enemies you must first know them”.

Nyx does not have an official Sith name or title and just goes by her first name; Nyx was considered a ‘Dark Lady of the Sith’.

Nyx was mature for her age; due to her surroundings and lifestyle, Nyx had a lot of time to herself to think and reflect on who she wanted to be; she was often alone with only her thoughts cultivating herself and her mind in the direction she aimed to go; Nyx was considered to be somewhat of a prodigy when it came to her Force and Lightsaber training and she was able to accomplish much at an early age, things very few others recorded in history could do; Nyx lived in her own little world which revolved around her father, her planet, Dark Force training, her studies, and later on other imperial duties.

Nyx’s very first lesson on the Force was when she was about 2 years old and it was from a Holocron; she was able to open both Sith and Jedi Holocrons; Nyx’s strong potential within the Force showed itself soon after she was born.

Nyx was born to Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala on the planet Coruscant before Skywalker turned to the Dark Side; Nyx was born about a year before the Clone War conflict ended and her mother’s death; after the tragic events and father’s reconstruction, Nyx was reunited with her father and he took her to Dromund Kaas to begin her Sith training.

Father not only had strict rules about Nyx’s training regime and her actions, but also about her appearance and how she dressed and presented herself to others (which she also paid attention to herself); father insisted she always wear black and grey Sith warrior clothing, but he was all right with her not wearing the traditional Sith robes all the time; she found subtle ways around his strict rules in order to express herself. Example: Nyx owned a black cloak where the inside of it, along with the hood was lined in dark blue, which was her favorite color, and she sometimes wore hair accessories and jewelry. She figured it was so close to black and the accessories were so small her father wouldn’t mind and she turned her attention to other dark colors as well. And she was also always keen on making things match, she was a bit of a fashionista.

Nyx had a very innocent look and lighthearted natural personality about her that most Sith throughout history did not in any way have; people who had been introduced to her for the first time were somewhat surprised she was the daughter of a Sith Lord; the way she acted (her natural self) was different than a usual Sith as well, but she more than made up for it in her skills, Force abilities, and knowledge; Nyx fit in with the populous, at least in appearance; most of the time Nyx had to suppress her natural self in order to fit in with her surroundings; Nyx could be very fearsome when she wanted to or when needed.

Nyx could draw energy from the Dark Force without necessarily being angry or feeling negative emotions; she learned to control her emotions to best suit the situation; she was so used to living under the Dark Force in day to day life, she didn’t always need to have negative emotions in order to channel its power (especially not after she became more experienced); strong emotions did make the connection stronger, but there were many times she was just as strong within the Dark Force without feeling bad emotionally; Nyx did not understand how this worked and it wasn’t possible to explain, but since it worked for her, she didn’t question it and just went with it.

Nyx was not short on imperial credits and could pretty much buy anything she liked (as long as her father would approve and if it was something she knew he wouldn’t, she would just hide it from him, which didn’t happen much); Nyx was privileged in this aspect and lived on the higher end of society, though she didn’t take advantage of it as much as others would; Nyx enjoyed the nicer, finer, and fancier things in life, but she wasn't necessarily greedy.

Nyx had many hobbies she enjoyed in her free time in order to clear her mind and focus on something else for a little while; her hobbies include: drawing, journaling, taking long walks/hikes and speeder bike rides, swimming in the oceans of Dromund Kaas and private pools within the citadel, hanging out with Swamp Wampa friends, learning new things about her various interests, anything and everything having to do with nature, designing clothing outfits and decorating rooms, shopping, collecting unique things, creating jewelry, karate, gymnastics, telekinesis (almost everything done had some aspect of the Force included in the activity, whether it was while training and growing as a Sith or her more personal interests; sometimes her hobbies and duties to the Empire intertwined in some way)

Nyx had a secret stash of all the rocks, shells, artifacts, and other things she had collected over the years hidden in a tree stump underneath one of the many swampy trees in the jungle; she also had other secret spots in the jungle, Kaas City, and within the citadel where she took refuge.

Pretty much her whole life, Nyx thought where she lived was kind of bleak and wanted a bit more color in her life; it was always the ‘same old, same old’ and she found small ways to make her life a little cheerier; she found ways to cope with the extreme isolation her father made her live under and eventually she just got used to it and referred to it as ‘normal’.

Not only was Nyx’s life full of new experiences as she learned and grew, but her father’s was as well as he learned how to raise a child and form, what eventually became a very strong connection to someone else amidst all his other duties within the Empire and as a Dark Lord of the Sith; throughout Nyx’s life, there were many experiences, both physically and mentally and emotionally, that were new territory for both her and her father which greatly impacted both their lives over the years; some things the two of them learned together for the first time; father was not used to the types of emotions or the side of him Nyx brought out in him and he pushed them and her away for the longest time (like he was used to and had always done), but he eventually started to like them and was secretly drawn to them as he accepted her as his daughter despite her good heart.

Nyx had always felt an invisible precents around her protecting her; Nyx was around officials and those who were charged with her well-being, but sometimes it felt like more than just what the eye could see; Nyx knew her father would always be there for her when she needed it.
