Fanart of Baldur's Gate's Edwin Odesseiron, mostly based off his Baldur's Gate 2 portrait. I take full responsibility for the luscious locks, I love longish hair and since it wasn't clear from his portraits whether he has hair at all or what style it is, I'm free to let my imagination run wild. It looks better anyway.
And I totally blame for this painting, again. We were discussing what to paint next and older rpg characters came up. Since we're both Edwin fans, Edwin it is.

However, about the hair: Edwin was a part of Red Wizards of Thay, who all shave their heads in order to mark their scalps with sigils of arcane power. Maybe after leaving the organization he decided to get long hair? Nobody knows!

I think I always imagined him with somewhat longish hair but for all any of us know, he's actually bald XD (I prefer not to imagine that).

Yeah, I heard that the mages from Thay are bald and have tattoos on their heads, but I think Edwin is unique enough to screw those rules and have some hair instead

Lol, it's by far fourth picture of Edwin I saw in the last two days (which is *very* much). It's rather confusing why the majority prefers the BG1 portrait, though... (And it's surprising how the styles of painting portraits changed during one year of BG2 development) But... long hair, so much FTW!

It's probably the piercings (which I think I accidentally mirrored in mine, looking at the in-game again). Think most people prefer the less piercings, darker haired, less embellishments BG1 portrait. I don't mind either.
