yeah.... I finally went to "properties" (when you right-click) and entered the image url in my browser. I then "saved as." It worked then! I think you need to go to its deviation settings and select "allow download." (or some phrase like that) well... thank you any way!

Oh, I'm SOOOO glad that you like it! Thank you for allowing me to work with your art!!!

It was a bit (technically) frustrating for me, but it was fun. I wanted to make a cute and happy avatar without being serious. This was the perfect picture for such a project.

And, if you look closely, the background behind the mermaid and the bubbles is actually flowing water with some more bubbles & lighting effects too... Moving like under the sea. But I didn't want to make her any smaller, so it's difficult to see the sway of the water behind her. It took me (on and off) 2 days to do this.

One of my stock models, Grey, is the one that suggested blinking/winking eyes, so I can't take credit for that part of the concept. I wish I could say that part was MY idea because it's the thing that really makes the av work.

I told Grrey what you said, and he seemed happy to hear it. "Thanks," from him.

My avatars are all made in Ulead PhotoImpact. I use a variety of tools, and the animated ones are made in PhotoImpact; each frame is made independantly, and then I import the frames in the GIF Animator that came with PhotoImpact. Then I can set the timing for each individual frame, and I can optimize it to DA's "under 15kb" rule, etc. there.

Also, I find that offering a variety of happy and sad avatars is a good thing. People all have different personalities, and I want lots of people to be able to find avatars and stamps that will suit them. So please don't go changing your art for me. I like it all.
