Okay, so I had just finished the fawn and started on the background when guess what? Photoshop crashed. I was able to get a screen shot of what I had so far and add a background to it. I was so upset I nearly cried because I spent HOURS on this picture! Well, I hope you can still see the quality in it.

Anyway, this would be my first Fawnling, so I tried my best and am keeping my fingers crossed.

                Nightshade is extremely curious and loved to discover things. He’s not afraid of much which sometimes gets him into trouble because he won’t think things through before he does them. He had great respect and obedience for his mother and will stay by her side if she tells him to, but the first moment he can, he’s off and away on a new adventure. He can be unpredictable at times and because of his mother’s teachings is extremely Prejudice.

History:

                Nightshade was born in the summer of 759 of the New Age in the depths of a cave where he lived with his mother. His mother was quite a ragged old Doe with nasty scars over the left side of her face. Her one eye was milky and blind and she held a limp in her front leg. Nightshade’s father had fell to the clutches of a Jaguar and his mother had nearly gone the same way but escaped with her life. After the attack, she lived secluded and away from other herd members so they wouldn’t bother her or ask questions.

                The old Doe didn’t just look ragged and washed out, her personality was sour and so full of hate that she usually scared even her own herd members away. While the Jaguar attack was only caused by the Jaguar, she blamed the others herds and since that day has hated them in a new light. She spent her time ranting and cursing and finally took up poison making which she planned to use on her neighboring herds when the time came. When Nightshade was born, she at first was angry. She didn’t have time to take care of a fawn. But as the months passed, she began to see potential in him. One day, he would be her source for getting revenge on the other herds. He would be her best poison yet.

                Nightshade grew stronger with each months passing and his curiosity began to peak. When he could, he would venture the small part of the cave his mother called home and find bugs or sometimes a mouse. He never quite understood what his mother would say, but when she was deep in her ranting he would sometimes sneak off to look out at the moon at the entrance of their cave. When he got older, he would go out there; he wanted to see what was outside the cave. He wanted to discover new places, new caves, meet new people. One day he would do that, but for now, he had to stay with his mom.
