Description         Vine had no idea that when she decided to travel to the Aqtuquaq Forest, that she would soon embrace her destiny. She had decided that morning out of the blue, that she would travel to that forest and climb to the peak of the highest mountain. So she had easily snuck out while Belmoth and the others were still resting, and headed on her merry way. It's true that she could be... too curious at times. But she had the determination, and she would see the peak of that mountain.
Upon reaching the forest, her black raven friend had joined her, the raven she had now come to know and Hallow, and her chosen soul animal. She had come to know very little of him, but that was fine with her. He was always quite silent, and when he spoke it was as if he were saying it to the wind and not to her in particular. But at the same time, she enjoyed the fact that another was coming with her on this journey, it would make things less lonely on her if she did decide to speak to her company.
After much traveling she had made it to the mountains. The sun had come and gone, and while she had not anticipated that it would take her all day, she was glad to finally get there. Belmoth, she was sure, was worried for her. But she needed to accomplish her personal quest and embrace the light and fresh air of the peaks. To overlook the valleys below, to feel as if she were flying. It was going to be amazing. The forest was dark, but with the light of the full moon she was able to maneuver through the trees and up the hills almost easily.
Hallow seemed to watch her curiously, but never spoke, instead he stayed to himself, following her through the branches of the pines and darting in and out of the dead limbs and the living. He paused as Vine reached the top of the mountain, he felt it waiting for her. He had known that it called her there, that it had beckoned her. That strange call to the mountain. He knew that Vine had become a powerful beacon in her society, but so soon had he felt the spirits that it had nearly amazed even this raven.
He watched at the orange long mane stepped out over a ledge, just near the peak, the wind howled around her, her mane bellowing in the breeze as it raked at the air and over the rocks. She was glowing in the full moon, overlooking the valleys. Hallow took to the sky as the spirit appeared, Vine not even flinching. It rolled at her feet and sent taunts to her ears. It was an evil spirit, as Hallow had expected. One of which he knew was rather powerful, he was in attempt to catch hold of Vine before any others, Hallow knew the spirits well. They were at race.
Vine listened, quiet, unlike her. But the words he spoke sent shivering under her skin and made her ripple with joy. Hallow crossed the moon's path as the Spirit grinned, knowing Vine had accepted it's influence. The log mane curly felt the power surging through her and she darted to the edge, skidding to a stop as her head tilted back and she screamed a howl to the sky, allowing her soul to embrace her new destiny.
