✖ P E R S O N A L I T Y:

{ Caring | Daring | Dedicated | Active | Sensitive }

Yasu may come across as lazy, quiet, and forgetful when first encountered. However it's likely because he just got finished rescuing drowning kitten or something. He's extremely active and hates sleeping because nothing gets done when your asleep. Regrettably causing him to be tired most of the time. However he's extremely daring and dedicated, ready to take on any new challenge that may arise. While soft spoken, he is not shy and loves telling stories and meeting new people. He usually gets a regular six hours of sleep if he's lucky, though most days it's only four, so often times his sentences are broken with yawns.
Rarely does anything scare him, and when it does, it should probably scare you too. Despite a mostly stoic attitude, he does smile, and rarely frowns. Yet he's extremely sensitive to those watching or critiquing him, wanting only to be and preform his very best under a watching eye.

. Character Alignment: Neutral Good, "Benefactor"

. Strengths: Very resourceful, quick thinking, Physically Fit.
. Weaknesses: Missing left arm and Eye, Not very good at defenses.

✖ H I S T O R Y:

The Isamu family could be called nothing less then 'dare-devils'. Yasu has been jumping from airplanes and hiking Yellowstone since a baby. Sure he can't remember this, but his family pictures of a grinning baby strapped to his mother's chest was proof enough as she stood at the edge of the grand canyon. Growing up it was expected he follow along in the crazy hobbies of his parents, though he couldn't complain much, he was just as much of a natural as they were.

They chose early on to live in Copperhead Creek, saying that it was central to whatever they would want to do. He enjoyed it, finding it fun to collect and release the various native animals and reptiles. He began cataloging the moment he was old enough that his parents let him mess with the poisonous insects and snakes. While embarrassed about them now, he would draw pictures and write small stories on each species he found. Determined to be some kind of scientist 'when he grew up'.

From hiking, to mountain climbing, and even diving, Yasu tried just about everything. His father brought him up in the way of survival and his mother the ways of adventure. He spent many days and weeks sometimes just out surviving with nothing but a knife and fire starter. During high school a lot of his more time-consuming hobbies came to an end, however he took up Piano and baseball to replace them, growing a good pitcher's arm he quickly became the first choice for most teams. He was popular among groups, though had never really been one to gloat or boast about it, and had never had too much of an interest in relationships outside of his family.

However, when his hair began turning white at nineteen do to hereditary passing, he began to get odd looks and others began to outcast him. He gained the nick-name 'Vampire' which stuck and was mocked through school (mostly by jealous individuals). Fearing for his state of mind, even though he didn't really care, his parents pulled him from pubic school to home-school him. None of his 'friends' stayed in contact much longer then three months after doing so.

From the outside, they were the perfect family, his father a doctor and his mother a neuron scientist. They had money, popularity, and could do just about anything they wanted. Unfortunately, the image left the night his father got the call about his mother. During a caving expedition she had taken a wrong step and found herself lodged impossibly upside down, twenty feet below the regular cave level. It wasn't all that bad, could have probably been saved, if not for the water that was rapid rising in the tunnel beneath the cavern. The time it would take to get her out, would not be soon enough. They had sent her the phone, Yasu remembered crying too hard to talk to her, his father too speechless. Finally, his father taking the phone to speak with her in private as he locked himself away in his room.

Him and his father tried to keep up the facade of a happy life, however it didn't go unnoticed that Yasu dropped most of his hobbies and his social life began to fail. When his father was killed by a grizzly bear during a three week hiking expedition, he was sent to his grandmother due to her being the only living relative. The impact of such traumatic experiences leaving him much more secluded then he once was, choosing to grow his hair out and take on more rebellious pass times.  None of which his grandmother cared about since the only reason she had taken him in was because of the money.

It was during a illegal street race on a dirt path crossing cliffs that the tires took a bad turn, the car slipping. The fall he couldn't really remember, but once he was finally conscious, he was very aware that his arm was hopelessly crushed, trapped somewhere between the seat and a mangled piece of metal that was once a door. From here the stories get fuzzy as to whether he cut his arm off with the pocket knife he carried, or if he chewed it off. He would never answer when asked, but most witness claimed the later.

It took nearly a year of recovery, having lost both his left eye and arm in the accident. The only thing helping him through, his will to keep going, to survive, not wanting to disappoint his parents, sure that they would be upset he laid down and gave up after a mere car accident. With no support from his friends, and especially his grandmother, he came to the conclusion he was truly alone, and he was okay with that. The moment he was old enough to live on his own, he departed.

Yasu was not aware of the apocalypse that struck the world, as he had taken to the woods three weeks before the outbreak. Needing time to think and re-cooperate, to make sure he was still himself, that he could still function. It wasn't until a month into the infection that he returned and to a sight that both thrilled and for the first time in his life, absolutely terrified him.

Still not having fully recovered to his previous state, miss-less state of mind, he wasn't sure how he survived the first week. But soon enough he was back in the game and avoiding zombies became almost just as adventurous as wrestling alligators. He met very few others during his time wandering alone, but those he did, he attempted to help and then moved on, nervous about sharing the company again. It was rather shocking when he was actually approached by another one day, giving him an invite. Someone had been following him? He felt more nervous then ever, mostly over not knowing about it. But feeling that more then anything, safety definitely was i numbers, and feeling rude to turn down the invitation, he accepted.

His initiation process was thrilling to say the least, the first terrifying. Not really because of the zombie they turned loose on his while he was strapped to a chair. But more so because the room, was SO small. He felt the walls closing in on him the entire time. He didn't hardly even notice the dead guy trying to eat him alive, he just wanted out of the room. He supposed he didn't react the way most would, when they finally brought him out and he was in tears, crying about how he thought he was going to run out of air. Either way they were obviously impressed enough to keep him around a little longer because after a long speech about what he was good at and things, they moved him on.

It was when he became an official member, that he realized he would not be alone, even if he wanted to be. Instead he realized that there were others all around him, and thing was, he wasn't so nervous about him. They were inviting, supportive. For once in many years, he felt once again connected to a 'family'. One just like his parents. He was overjoyed about this, even though it rarely showed on his face. Sometimes he would express it with hugging or pats on the head. But otherwise he warmed up quickly, and eagerly took up his part of the Brotherhood.
