the dart frog is a poisonous species of frogs that live in the Sleeping Forest. they are a tiny frog standing at half a meter, but they pack a punch with their incredibly potent toxins and tiny needles.
if the frog is startled, they will launch a few needles from their back into whatever predator tried to attack or interact with them. these needles are launched at several kilometers per hour, nearly approaching the speed of a bullet.
once jammed into whatever flesh, they inject venom into the bloodstream which cause blood clotting and can lead to a stroke or heart attack.

the only way to cure the poison is to neutralize it with another venom or to amputate the limb to stop the spreading.
