It is a false positive, you just using AV which doesn't like anything not digitally signed (or just too lazy to scan file rather than to read header pfff...) like Autoit www.autoitscript.com/site/auto… which i used to write all my addons. I'm afraid i can't do much here, but you can:
- install normal AV like ESET, Kaspersky etc...
- add false possive files to exclusion in your AV
if you dont believe me i can show you source codes to all of my addons

I'm not 100% sure myself, but I think it's a form of Rainmeter where you get full control of what your desktop looks like, including the taskbar n stuff like that

it just comes out as a white file for me. do you need something else for you just double click it?

you need rainmeter installed ( www.rainmeter.net/ )
and then you can install this and any skin for rainmeter.
but you can wait for ver.5.0 release it will be much better

When clicking on the variables button I am receiving an error...

Damn it's so completely different from the windows gui I thought it was linux and conky at first glance. Looks eerily much more like something you'd do with conky and openbox than rainmeter.

This is a Rainmeter skin, so you can download the skins and apply to Rainmeter. If you don't know what Rainmeter is, it is a virtual desktop widget application which lets you add widgets to your desktop (as seen above). If you haven't got Rainmeter already, you can download it from the official website (www.rainmeter.net/ ). I'm pretty sure that you can download Rainmeter for Windows, Linux and Mac OS.
