He would make an awesome support/tank he's an interesting character because there's not a lot of champions whose offense is being defensive. I also like the way he looks.

I originally designed him with the idea of what tanks usually do, running in just to cause chaos, but i wanted him to REALLY punish the players that make the mistake of focusing the tank rather then the tank just running in and doing whatever he wants. He might not be a huge threat if you actually attempt to get to the squishies in a fight, but i wanted him to really be supportive and redirect damage as opposed to the tanks that just deal alot of damage or nuke a squishy and go on their merry indestructible way.

This kinda reminds me of my one champion idea Gonglock. He was conceived as a champion with a passive that let him send like 30% of damage he took back as true damage (because he was a sentient gong/bell hybrid) and his abilities would focus on exploiting it such as his Q wich would've dealt physical damage to himself.

This is actually a really good champ idea, in my opinion. I'm not usually a tank or a support person, but I definitely like the idea of this champion. That Ulti is gonna hurt and I like how it also makes the enemy safe from ally champions as well. It gives it a double edged nature.

yea, i think one thing that could be interesting, considering its an iron maiden, his abilities cost health instead of mana. like how mundo, mordekaiser and vlad have

It's both symbolic and has the actualy use of his ultimate for 'Iron Maiden'. The symbolic use comes from his lore where he puts himself in harms way before his allies and loved one.

I like the idea but his abilities seem a bit more offensive or plain OP. I think removing the blind/slow for somethign more defensive to his allies like an aura or something would be better. Still a cool concept. I like the Iron Maiden shields.

wow, very interesting, though id like to point some things.
1. the interception passive is kinda...i dunno...seems useless, the first one seems much better!
2. the passive is still way too OP XD he could easily get it to 20% returned damage XD how about making it 15 armor instead of 10? people with armor runes will kill AD carries in no time.
3. good thing you created the "stand your guard" ability, most tanks (many of them at least) are extremly weak to AP characters, this ability gives you a far stronger tanky-power and the fact you will need more brains to use this power (in other words, you would need to time it correctly so that the effects will do well, like sivir's shield and Noc's soul shroud)
4. the ulti is suicidal, altough i guess that is the point? valen is supposed to be a protector, not a fight (by what you told in the lore), this ult is basically saying "if IM dying, you are dying WITH ME!"
unlike malza's ult, who does the same thing just without the suicidal part.
the ult needs to be more officiant....
(BTW, its all just suggestions XD nothing more. i REALLY love this character, altough most of the time im an AP user' id love to try it ^^)
how about this, instead of the suicidal JUMP-SLAM on him (because to slam you WOULD need to be very close to your target) you would do it from...a bit of a bigger range, and that all AOE damage that the iron maiden receives (friendly AND unfriendly) will also increase the damage to the surpassed target.

I was thinking since im dropping the CC durations down significantly, i might add in some magic damage on that move since he can't chase someone down and kill them since they wont be facing him, it might aswell do some damage when he lands it just right, i mean, when the sun blinds you driving it hurts like hell amirite? lol

A note on your lore, Demacia is a city-state, not a proper kingdom. A village would not be considered part of Demacia.
You also gave him a fairly spammable 2 second aoe stun. That's...kind of powerful.
Other than that, there's nothing terribly tanky about him. He dishes out a good amount of CC, but unless he has moronically strong base/scaling, he doesn't have much in the way of damage mitigation. It also looks like he does no damage at all, and without a gap closer or a strong initiate, he's going to be ignored by the other team all game.
It's a sweet picture though, and I like the idea of a guy with two shields.

I just followed part of Hecarim's connection to Demacia saying he terrorized Demacian Villages. His aoe stun can be powerful but can only be used once he has enough charges and cannot gain more charges till off CD. I basically want him to be a hard disruptor in team fights, not necessarily fill the role of a 'tank' but i want him to be able to lock down a carry that your team is having a hard time getting to, and allow the stupidity of their own team to essentially take them down, and by utilizing his passive at the proper times, he can effectively nullify a move that could crush your team or use the move against their own team via his ultimate. He does need some work still, but i essentially want him to be more of a supporter that uses the enemies strengths against them.
Thank you for the feedback though, ill keep your thoughts in mind.

Hecarim mentions Demacian villages, eh? I'm not surprised. Riot has basically fired their creative writing department, go figure they can't keep continuity.
The thing about the passive is that you don't really get to pick when to use it. When it's up, it's going to activate, which really takes all the strategy out and makes things like it comboing with your ult near blind luck.
It sounds like you're trying to make him into an anti-carry? I could see him fitting that role a little better, but it would still be an uphill battle with the lack of damage and chase/gap closing.
While I think it would be *incredibly* satisfying to get a kill with his ult, assuming the enemy team is doing their job, the carry is in the back. So you have to get through an entire team for a 3 second suppression that isn't actually going to be very effective if the enemy team decides to not hit you (or you get there with so little health that the damage you transfer to the carry is negligible).
(actually, now that I think about it, his ultimate sounds like the kind of design Morello has deemed "unfun" because of the "burden of knowledge")
Take a look at Poppy's design. She's pretty much the only true anti-carry in the game (and she can play as support too!) and she does her job wonderfully.

Ill give it some more thought, this is of course stage one of his kit development, i was more concerned about getting him and his idea out there. Im worried that adding a taunt to him would make him pretty OP, depending on wether i decide on his first or second passive. The only other thing i thought of was maybe allowing him to throw one shield to his target and he dashes to it to slam it shut on the target allowing him to get into the fray easier. I would prefer to not give him a taunt but perhaps if i nerf his other CC's his ultimate could maybe be his defining feature by taunting targets allowing the path to his target giving a way to force damage and thus reducing his other abilities to minor disrupts within combat?

Love the art work. And the lore is definitely great. Just look over the crowd control and take it down a bit. Also the Interception passive will have some restriction for example won't be active / effective when lower than 25% health or something like that.
The Recurrence is a bit out there, probably increase the health by 20 or 25 per level.

2 seconds aoe stun. 3 seconds blind + slow, 3 seconds surpress is just 2 much.
no recent lol champion got even close the cc to that.
he could rather get some dmg and lower cc ratios.
if u just imagine in a teamfight:
he could go in stun the ad carry for 2 seconds, then blind him, soe he doesnt do dmg 3 more seconds then surpress him for 3 seconds.
u take out the most dmging champion for basically 8 seconds, thats way 2 much. (+ that champion is unable for move for 5 seconds of that time ad slowed for the other 3 seconds)

I just made some changes to his setup on the league forums. His CC durations have all been cut in half. As of this drastic change i have added magic damage as a second effect to his 'reflection' so long as they are facing him (still does nothing if they are not facing him)and i have changed his passive. And now his ultimate is really his defining feature, he now throws one shield to his target immobilizing them for a brief second, he then charges at them to slam the shield shut (giving him that ability to get into the fray) and now upon traveling he taunts targets along the path. Since its a target ability and a predetermined path, it gives the enemies some knowledge but by using flash or dashes poorly they could actually taunt more of their team. The numbers still need to be inputted but i think this would give his kit a much needed boost in order to be a real threat and produce real results.

A very interesting concept. I love the artwork, btw, and wondered why his shield had spikes like an iron maiden until I read his abilities haha. He seems an interesting character abilities wise, but does not have any defense against AP, or any other reason to stack armor except his passive. Unlike Malphite, who gets damage from armor based on his abilities, none of his besides his ultimate seem like they could benefit from armor. He also seems too reliant on being attacked by AD for damage, and only Galio with his ultimate is like that, but Galio's ultimate forces people to attack, so it works in his favor. Having a defense based character is a unique idea, and with a little polish could make a fine addition.

Yea, i know his (Stand your ground) isnt an amazing defense against AP, but my basic idea of him was not someone who essentially 'lives forever' but more of a 'ive spotted huge damage coming in, now time to redirect to me and then slam it into someone elses face' or null it completely. I would rather him be threatening in a way thats new rather than him just taunting someone and dealing tons of damage.
